Schools need to reopen, and they need to reopen safely. But right now, schools lack the funding necessary to do so. I spoke with College Presidents from Maryland's 6th District to hear what they need to reopen safely this fall.
Over 100 days ago, I voted for the Heroes Act, which includes $915 billion for state and local governments to help prevent teacher layoffs and cuts to public education and more than $100 billion for emergency funding for students and schools to ensure that learning can continue during the COVID-19 pandemic.
