It was a pleasure to welcome California Machinists Union members to my Washington office today. We talked about the importance of increasing Buy American requirements for public infrastructure. I secured a Buy American increase for public transit projects through my work on the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, and I will always work to ensure we rebuild our crumbling infrastructure and improve public transportation using American materials and workers.

I spoke to the Huffington Post today about the geopolitical implications of Trump's withdrawal from the Iran deal. In making this decision, Trump has alienated us from our key allies and undermined American credibility. In the process, he has elevated the importance and credibility of our closest rivals: China and Russia.
