Sorry about that know that the folks in the Obama administration are still hold over so that's gonna so sorry about that when I was telling in you have a great person here on nissan couple people up in Alaska couple wins fact that you got to visit with some great people. I wish model with a spoken up a little bit, but wonderful people that come up and enjoy the culture and what Western values are and tonight is no exception. I gotta give a friend of mine becomes for the state of Georgia and Georgia and it's joey ice and I wanted to tell you a little bit about his background, because it's incredible story joining oh thanks Paul and again, water and honored to be here with you free shit. You doing this and each other joining not sure where we got cut off uh I was just kinda recycled around with quickly my backgrounds, one is a pastor and for almost 30 years before coming to Congress and one of the re defining moments was when the you soon count our County over a copy of the 10 commandments that was in the court House in our church in action for those commandments in the courthouse and so that also came it literally March right inside the doors of our church and so that's understand for that overnight that case to comes and National focus in, like Allen keys and judge one more from Alabama Of course, now running for saying um Tony perkins family research Council, host of others, came and did rallies and uh that it just gonna National focus. I became the face of it um. We lost a case about way after two years and then we shifted our direction state and after another six years are actually one okay so the commandments went back up in our County so that's the end of story of many of the radio program development that so we wrong on air daily in about six 400 stations nationwide um, then in a way, we The second major redefining moment were the on the. You try to prevent to this day there's still doing it uh the rest. I mean a code that says you can't address certain political issues and the charger collusion, profit status and I was one of 33 pastors, a challenge that happened um long story but that ever has become a a an annual event that we endorse the candidate from the pulpit Santa copy of the sermon to the rest along with the letters and here's what I Yeah. I don't believe our broken along believe your code is unconstitutional. I challenge you to come after me and the other 30 tune in to some one thing the rested. Nothing so with legal hell from alliance, defending freedom, we got together did it again and uh that is turn into an annual event now where thousands of churches participate every year um in the bottom 90 don't lose your taxes and status or you don't lose your first right just as your new church and the threat of losing tax exempt status, is system unconstitutional so those students got me involved in Congress uh those were the Lost fans. If you will, they got me here in is uh member had ambitions of being your before those to battles but it's been up uh an issue now, since two thousand three well see now you look at our framers and now you see the respect that we have for somebody like Joe coming out who actually look at the line and did something about it that's exactly what we need more of in Washington dc people from different cloths of life um. We we have line misses and recovery Another well, do he's also a member of the freedom caucus and I know that's a popular aspect back home. I'm proud to call us to the some of the freedom fighters because what we do is we are principle about what the future of this country looks like the rule law getting back to accountable government to the people so with that we're gonna take some questions and see what's on your mind, so what you got faith force tonight it's no surprise, gentlemen, that doctor is wielding a lot of questions for us so I have to tell a little bit about your stance. What it means. What it means going forward block people are step because I think my friends are getting deported your heartless tell us a little bit Have your thoughts. First of all, everybody, you know my opinion uh you know, dark is an illegal order. Article one section, eight of the constitution. Clearly gives that to Congress there's hardly a scholar across the country that has been said that President Obama defied the action intact made the situation worse by is application of doctor. He wanted step further to complicate matters. He defied the power of the person and efficiency. If I actually implementing it in the grease action vs Congress, this was a system going down and President, trump to the great thing when he did is enforce course, an illegal action and then you did something very clever. He gave us sometime not a lot of time to address the situation. I think that's really where we start the story because in order to fix doctor, we can't just treat the symptoms, we got a treat the disease and the disease is giving back to making sure that we're a country with the find wars that we can defend um that we have lost and then equal application of the law. We have to look at what it takes to Queen via citizen streamline that process because are victims waiting for years and years and years sometimes decades and sometimes millions of dollars trying the access. This country legal faction. We also have to look at through price citizenship because it's raining Paul did in the in the the presidential discussions, it was based upon somebody coming here legally with a legal bring card having a child here, probably and had nothing to do with somebody illegally in this country advantage point. We have talk about change. My grayson. We have to talk about sanctuary, cities, all these pieces can be done in a Piecemeal fashion. You can't do a comprehensive Lee because trust is a series of promises kept the American people sound off they want to be heard. They wanna be incorporated in the conversation and immigration is such a breath life of this country is the fabric of this country and we gotta do it right, but we can do it in six months. You know somebody said well what if we don't House President, going to energy, there are other programs out there the attention and I decided several in the thirties forties and fifties we've extended visitor permits until our people to stay here Four years get to go to the post office to show that you're ask to keep the community that you have the abilities that we're not taking public assistance with God, for say, you know jody and I posted on government oversight. We go our post office needs more work so it's a great way of keeping people here um and doing it the right way. You know once again stop making people victims make them Stewart so their future jenny. What you got there yeah that's upon. Thank you right on with you know this and doctor for haps with an impact. Your state, a little bit more than it was Georgia, but it is an issue in Georgia as well, and the tenth district and we save the President Obama himself realize and actually stated He had exceeded his executive authority by uh by putting doctor forward some President trump was exactly spot on and in correcting, as we are, either going to be a nation of walls in order or not amazon. It was unconstitutional to begin with and so the President of the right thing, correcting bad and sending it back to carvers, which does have the authorization to deal with immigration law and that's what this whole thing is Bound up so you know where I think the heart of Congress. I just fair to say with realizes these kids, have grown up in this country night, many own perhaps is the only country that never know uh and so we gotta work through this and I in a proper kind of way, understanding uh, but still we got a deal with it. According to law and what's, in the best interest of our country, our National security and just them on sale. You mention chain migration. I'm actually we've been working on a bill that it comes as a surprise to many people realize an individual can come Legally to this country and then through chain migration sponsor up to 200 and 73 other family members. One person yeah as over here yeah illegally here as our bill, basically says, listen it. It only immediate family uh you're on the range children or your spouse and you know just starts dealing with a lot of the loopholes that have exasperated the problem and well remember President reagan You know if you do it. What he knew that no one is going to enforce our border security at the time you would never, of done his Amnesty aspect movies in office. Our recites, something so pertaining to this and this was from Supreme court Justice brandeis and a government of laws existence of the government will be in peril fails to observe the law scrupulously as the government becomes a law breaker. I intend um. It breeds contempt for the law. It invites every man to become a law unto himself. It invites anna. Do I need to say anymore perfectly said for are perfect times. We gotta get back to the rule of law the constitution And do this the right way treat the disease so we don't have to look at this again make sure that we enforce the law across the the built across the board and make sure for God sakes that we do it in the right for otherwise what's going to happen if we give this proven Amnesty and you have to fix the disease were gonna constantly see this country have to take a look at Amnesty over and over and over again, and we become UN, not the United States of America faith kind of the question. I do so right before it broke for August recess, healthcare was the baby Well a lot of your followers wanna know well we're back. It filled in the Senate. What that there's gonna do about. It. I know we talked about this being in the car filament with my Davis joni meehan first but you're show yeah well as I told you before the House answer okay in no way shape or form is repeal, but what it did is actually lower premiums gave you choice and rebuild the market place we're waiting for Congress the problem is the Senate failed Yes, good news is with the Senate, failed grandpa put a hold on all the business in the Center still allowing us to go up to the end of September with reconciliation of the health care now there's, a couple of caveats out there the President has to ideas one is to move forward, executive order, Association, health plans that means, like plumbers across the state of Arizona, conformity, he just said in form of cooperative that they would now become a group that take action have better by Martin power, that's a great idea because well within his power to do that, the second one is to sell insurance prob States lines that's another great athlete opportunity, but remember in order to do those two things teens are build a sitting around the Senate which repeal the carrot first that means their subject to sherman and clayton anti trust lost. We wanna see this bill on itself to have the insurance industry answer to you and and in order to do that. What we have to do is break up their collusion inside that become a new ideas and vision, new ideas for healthcare coming up here, so it's not done yet now we understanding and later this afternoon, the graham and the President and others have come up with an idea um. What with are gonna need is a little help From the States in the block Grand aspect. Now let me explain that to is that we in or dollars we need you to chime into our goes because we want to give them the flexibility that flexibility, when they get this block brand that they know their populations better than the federal government that's key. Look at Arizona arizona's access models been a template for everybody to start looking it because we do things will be different cuz. We have a waiver late on that's the opportunity to set the bar new and exciting aspect, but we need those changes also come from the state And by the way the validation is the tenth amendment, insurance and healthcare. Our States rights to stay with the constitution, a great point and it was a point when you come to this this hold healthcare debate. There. There to factors and I think it's easy for some who sign of this. You have the the insurance cost which is what we're dealing with in this healthcare deal trying to lower the cost of insurance the other part of this, which were not yet dealing with, is the cost of healthcare that what's it cost to get an mri or whatever it may be Uh the cost of medications. This type of thing that healthcare itself is another issue. They definitely needs to be addressed right now we're dealing with the cost of the insurance and what we stood for fall for was to drive down the cost of insurance. They have initial build as you remember, they came across the for would raise your insurance between 15 and 20 percent that was totally unacceptable so we want to fight then went a battle and we got some good compromise and the negotiations from the White House to our own party and the bill was sent the Senate we're Actually pretty good bill. They drop the ball, but I think the point you bring up for is critical, that they have now to the end of September. There is still time for this thing to work in such a way that the Senate can pass it with a simple majority. Thank you on votes and you haven't. I think there's, a good chance that we can still get there. I grew that remember what I explain to you this is a revolutionary process. This isn't happen with Obama care. This was a revolutionary process to the bad over time, both Republican and Democratic admin Nation's we're part of this. We went off the tracks and it's gonna take us a while so we need to have our ion the products that means patient Center patient focus, patient uh uh dependent healthcare and that's where the research okay, gentlemen, I know we brought it away from dog but we're getting a lot of comments about gut and border security, so post up your body and ask would you be willing to compromise on dhaka and keep those people here. It means we can get the Wall Oh yeah. I don't think it's a choice between that. We got to do both. We gotta do with doctor and we gotta build the Wall so that's gonna be the focus um. You know obviously, Washington is built around trying to find compromise in areas where you can work together to move the ball across the finish land so we will deal with whatever cards are dealt us and move it around the table into canal, so to speak and try to get is conservative of bills as we can, but at doctor needs to be dealt with as we've already addressed, but so does the Wall and the uh there's, a number of us that are standing with the President to get this Wall built and it's a Important to our National security and you can't have a nation if you have open boarders who's coming in to our country. What their intentions are, what their motives are we've got to deal with our border security and sovereignty and the Wall is one aspect of it, but it certainly needs feeder haven't. I don't think it's. Why is it all for us to get our eyes off of that focus well, we take a step further because I wanna take our last question in this credit question and put together We're gonna be holding cross christ in this country part of that is because of our healthcare issues because when it's of having people can't afford the treatment and whether it paid where they go, they go to obedience. What is happening and when they run out of that script and I stop writing that script for you all the said you gotta have an alternative. What is a family when you don't have secure border that's. What you have here with hitting the streets that's when you have Central heating straight, you wonder why we got a problem is because of previous administration to do either of those two good okay and Where were suffering the consequences so in my point of view, I give you a solution for those folks and naka allow them to stay here on your bigger basis in regards to visitor status and tell the rest of things are taken care of if you don't do it, that right. I give you the example that supposed to Congress goes through with doc at this point in time and allows them to perceive into a citizens type apparatus and it's possible because you have the Democrats really wanted to push it and there's a few Republicans pushing it as well, including leadership, so what is it happy with that happen Well, you know, set the bar for everybody to inspire because now, what you said is the President remember the legal term President once again. You have Amnesty once before, with President uh rated, yet this Amnesty the third one is now with the courts Congress is forever lost. It's ability to determine who comes in here so you've got to do it right start by those people try to come in the right way. Reform that so it should be possible to say we accept you or we reject you for the reasons that you put forward number to secure that border you've gotta have a define board and that means a rule was applied everywhere, not just The border on the southern border, but the northern border airports are train stations and bus stations around the country. It has to be of equal application of the law. Equally utilizing local law enforcement. It has to be a collaborate bath pepper as but you don't do the final thing until everything else is done chain migration uh birth right citizenship, all these things have to be taken in sequence the proper sequence, so that you do it right. Don't wanna short, our responsibility it's gonna take something to do, but imagine This doing. It piecemeal out of time because trust is a series of promises camp. Why don't you trust Congress because they never kept their promise. They do things in a Red head way. They throw everything is that what they call a conference and build and when you see a conference and build run run for the Hills because there's something wrong with that bill do it the right way that we have attended since I was a into like to the Congress the screaming symbol. Our came bills one issue at a time break. It down. So that you share that Aspect of the voices of the people. I, like listening I, like to tell you the facts, because you're giving the solutions is a good dentist problem. Mister House I'm gonna turn is one to you we're seeing a lot of trouble coming from the hurricanes. How is this affecting your state of you see things moving forward. What do you wanna do with funding, help in the area, so send yeah listen these these for a change and that would are witnessing now or about Jose behind that hard baby just came through Houston devastating and this one now It's approaching Florida Georgia, South Carolina uh. You know the first thing is keeping people out of harms way and doing all we can from that perspective and in our federal government is always been there to help with disasters and emergencies and our country of multiple times, school just passed bill today to help with it with the Houston uh disaster and and we will honestly have to assess whatever damage occurs with with but uh Yeah that this is um. This point we're all keeping close watch on that the purple and encouraging people to be wise and get out of harms way hmm well, I think it's a good point that God brings up that you know we authorise seven point five billion dollars to replenish tina, but we wanna do them an articulate way so that where student to the tax payers making sure that we're giving those monies to people that are deserving enough project so I, like the idea of this first, however, I'm gonna give you some warning signs because we've already been told what the sentence when you do don't take our build double It. Maybe triple. If they're gonna throw a bunch for God and we're gonna try to do is put something else on there. Maybe, like a deci with that's a wrong way of handling this I'm frankly, I know I or jody sits, but I'm telling you that's a problem. We have in Washington dc that was the problem and saying it wasn't the relief to going to sandy. It was all those things that fisheries and in in Alaska throughout the court was added on that's the problem and once again we need to focus our point on the problem Call the us Senate Democrats maybe the opposition for the Senate is always the enemy, so, once again, I wanna q. You into what is coming us coming at is coming from the Senate and if I'm right through the main validate, this they're gonna do it in the last minute to try to janice at the end of September that's a wrong way to do it okay so we there's a right way to do it and I believe that we have to start doing it the right way and I would just after that in as well and I would agree you know I'm no with I was glad to support the help today uh but you know when it goes to the sand. They start adding all sorts of credit. This thing is just that's not the right way of doing it and it's it was Possibly uh is a responsible for we've got to get our financial House in order and there's talk about dancing and being tagged on this, that can be as much as two trillion dollars with no strings attached and no cuts. I mean I don't know where they're gonna have their not but there's. All kinds of things, but I was time concern even to with with replenishing or giving more money to fame, is right without the accountability, even with think work where all this money dog, I Tickets appropriate for them to, and stand the money given account for maker request for more and Congress deals with from there, but just giving blanket uh one first, after another one signed check after another. I think we need to be very cautious on as I think it's the right thing. What we did today but we're gonna have been very cautious with this in the future and make sure this does not become an itself just yet another sign blame check well, you need for those back home that are Contractors that's nothing different than what we would do. It contact me get a first, try to get stuff started to replenish those keys, show with done, done done on the project. Your House and we're gonna second running a final draw so this is the same thing. Congress means to have us over side on the way famous spencer life, but we also need to make sure it's accountable. I also wanna tell people across the South and across the country. Thank you for your support during hearty that outpouring to show you what's so great about America. You know so it's in church, always made to come and you can count on Americans To the right thing will live exhausted. Everything else that's one application and didn't follow through. We started from the very beginning, doing the right day okay gentlemen we're having 20 minutes or in a one more shopping you're gonna close out for the evening. She guys with big night ahead with a lot of votes they're not done folks still vote. These men work long days okay so we got a lot of flak before August recess or work period so you're, not getting anything done about tax reform and all throughout August we saw conference pushing out better about tax reform, but now is the time the. Once in a lifetime chance are we gonna see that yeah that's Bring question. It all depends on how this thing goes down the pipe right now um and it here's basically how this thing works. You in order to allowed the Senate to not have to get their 60 votes the House has to send a bill over them using to call reconciliation which means we pass a budget. We give some reconciliation instructions, but then we would attach to that budget a tax reform bill uh couldn't find if we didn't Send into the Senate, then they, because we gave them regulation they can pass it for the simple majority of the problem at this point is where bring, ask to uh pass a budget without know what the tax reform bill looks like and I mean, if it's just has since um let's passing to find out what's in it kind of thing and that uh I'm just not there yet, I wanna know what's in the tax reform bill. What at least once the skeleton with my damn, all the made on it, but what what is tax reform gonna look like before week passage Let's know what it is we're passing more than is we're saying to the Senate or we're going to have 15 percent corporate tax rates like the President wants or go here in 28 percent possible or 28 30 or ever a hotel. We need to know what it is we're voting on before. We go on it and that's the issue been to the state so was whether or not this thing his past is actually gonna be determined on on how is presented and how much information we're giving see you that's where the process is I don't want to over promise and under deliver, but that's exactly what we're talking about exactly right now, as we raise america's hopes about these tax reforms. Well, if it's 28 percent me very much folks that's not what you're expecting okay once again trust is a series of promises, cat that's where we have to start this ball join us exactly right and we have this conversation reconciliation is giving you giving truth. We have to go through once again. We explain that in previous facebook and that is, it's kind of arcane rule and we're trying to take a camel into the eye of a needle to help out the seventh and local kinda We got and then aspect looking healthcare, but also remember there's 900 billion dollars of taxes in Obama care that are very instrumental and how we can make those tax cuts even greater so there's, a lot of Web to steal these people put forward. I don't know but about joey that I myself said I'm not gonna vote for the budget until I find out more about the the tax schematic, not just little bits think. I give us the full skeleton of how they're going to do this where they're going and what we're trying to do its okay, that they can speak on behalf the Senate because the last time I look at conferences and send House can have their opinion so we can have their opinion. They need in the Middle and they have a Knock down drag up. I know about you, but I'm a broker to let you go right absolutely. I thank you so much for joining us. Thank you very much with in order to be with you well now you see exactly why here's a great person that is come to Congress um help out he's one of the great ask me, since, on natural resources and governor on your side with me so he's one of the greatest asset that we got so tell Joe, thank you very much and it's a pleasure, having him on tonight. Thank you again see you. there
