A short while ago I voted in support of the House FY 2015 budget resolution introduced by Paul Ryan which cuts $5.1 trillion in federal spending and brings the budget into balance in 10 years. This resolution passed the House by a vote of 219-205.
Neither the House Democrat proposal, nor the President's spending plan EVER bring the nation's budget into balance. Senate Democrats have made the decision to not even produce a budget. That's not leadership. That's not vision. That's not acceptable.
In contrast, this House-passed Budget takes a strong step in the right direction by focusing on growing the economy and shrinking the size of the federal government. Lastly, this budget creates a better future for the next generation by putting the nation on the path to pay off the debt entirely.
