The largest port in Europe is located in Rotterdam. Our delegation toured the port and learned about the enormous economic impact Rotterdam has on trade as well as its significant role in history. After WWII, a large number of Dutch immigrants left out of this port heading for the United States and Canada on the Holland America Line. The historic building is now known as the Hotel New York in Rotterdam. After the tour, the delegation joined Ambassador Hoekstra and the AmCham Rotterdam Chapter to discuss business investment in America and the Netherlands.
