If you care about forever wars, the military industrial complex, then you have got to care about anti-corruption now in Congress today, there are caucuses for fishing. There are caucuses for whiskey officiant adios. There are caucuses for vegans. There's not yet been a place for people committed to ending corruption to organize and to build a movement well that changes and that ends today. We're gonna not stop until we change this place. We're not gonna stop the elected officials on both sides of the aisle are no longer in the pockets of lobbyists and corporate packs, but are boldly committed to the interest of the American people with that. This month, the Supreme Court issued its decision in citizens United and opened the flood Gates for unlimited amounts of dark money to pour into our political system. And since then we've seen what happens with special interest money is allowed to drown out the voices of everyday Americans. It means that they are in handcuff providers and handcuffed patients. Person at this policy dinner besides me as a paid lobbyist, they didn't care about the actual things that I campaigned on helping Central Valley families they cared about helping. The books that paid them millions of dollars to get those agenda items passed in Congress and that's the point everybody knows that this place is broken. It hurts our trust in government. It hurts our ability to get anything done and prioritize prioritizes special interests ahead of the needs of regular people. and if you look at the root causes of why so many of the critical agenda item that we focused on on this past year. Because of the Bottle has an active. Because he and so many of his colleagues are owned by the pharmaceutical lobby in order to actually pass these really incredible things like lowering the cost of prescription drugs. We have to be able to address that root cause and get our money out of politics cleaning this place up as a gateway issue to addressing any of the other problems that we face together as Americans and it's time we take a sledge hammer to the dark money interest. We took a critical first step and passing HR one earlier this year, a one bill. Is not gonna do it all We have to create a movement behind us, not just one moment, and that's what the incorruptible effort all about College training. This program. But let's get to work. Democracy works for all of our constituents the people who sent us here. I thought I was. All of us are trying to do this. we're trying to do politics the right way and we are all facing. This year against Spending hundreds of billions of dollars in dark money untraceable money. There's no way we have even knowing who is funding the campaigns that will be run against us. We don't even know if worn interests are involved in running these campaigns, which is a reminder that our anti-corruption agenda is one in the same as our National security agenda in our country. The American people are angry that this partisan lines, they're angry that our federal agencies are being captured by corporate America. They're angry that the leading politicians in this country are not releasing their tax returns. They're angry that foreign oligarchs can can pay the retainer of the president's. How can that happen in the United States in the 20? They understand as other others of my colleagues have said that this is the reason why things don't get them here. But this is the reason why 90 - five percent of Americans can before gun safety legislation and we can't seem to get it through the Senate. The vast majority of Americans, including Donald Trump when he was running for President believed that Medicare should be allowed to negotiate the price of prescription drugs. And yet we can't get through that that We're gonna keep out this we are going to pass legislation like HR one in this Congress in Congress. Thank you. Thank you. Spin Fighting Don't want the money is coming from Hotel. Broken our stuff here. As you've heard the reason we can't get prescription drug prices lower background. Why haven't changed? The prayer that we have. The money in our politics. We have hope we have four million members across the country who are working every day to write this raw and with this group of amazing representative, I know we'll get it done each and everyone of them on ending corruption in our system ran on giving power back to the people and I'm getting money out of our politics and then they came to DC and they actually delivered they did what they said they were going to do the very first bill that they introduced it passed was HR one.
