After over 3 days of increasing positivity rates over 8% here in regions 7 (includes Will) and 8 (includes DuPage), all restaurants in these regions will close to **indoor** dining beginning Friday.

Additionally...
- all bars and restaurants will close for all service at 11pm each night
- maximum gathering size is reduced from 50 to 25

...

These new restrictions will be relaxed once our seven day rolling average positivity rate is below 6.5% for three straight days.

In the meantime, businesses in these regions will be prioritized for Business Interruption Grant application review. These grants include over $200M of Federal coronavirus relief dollars.

SB1425: a bill I sponsored to enhance suicide prevention initiatives in IL just passed unanimously! 115-0-0 Now that it’s passed both houses, it will be sent to the governor’s desk to be signed into law.
