I spent a significant portion of my teenage years here surrounded by amazing and committed activists.... WRL offered opportunities to kids to express themselves outside the status quo. I was privileged to have been part of SPEW 2 and work with memorable treasures such as Carl and Ralph and Mike Marsh. I cherish the time and work that was done there. I remember being a part of successfully kicking the ROTC out of Martin Luther King Jr. high school and visiting the Harvey Milk School. I remember handing out anti-war toy flyers at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, and how many mothers actually thanked me for that. Great times. WRL rocks. See More
