Have trouble falling asleep with CPAP therapy? If your air pressure feels too high, it can make adjusting to therapy more difficult at the start.
Luckily, your ResMed AirSense 10 machine has AutoRamp, a feature designed to help you fall asleep with ease. It delivers a low start pressure, then ramps up to your prescribed pressure the moment it detects you’ve fallen asleep.

Did you know there is more than one type of sleep apnea? Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and central sleep apnea (CSA) are the two most common types of sleep apnea, a condition that results in repetitive pauses in breathing during sleep.
OSA: Occurs when the throat muscles relax, block the airways, and stop the flow of breath during sleep.
CSA: Occurs when the brain does not transmit the "breathe" signal to the muscles that control breathing during sleep.
Symptoms: In both situations, a lack of oxygen causes sufferers to wake up and catch their breath multiple times during the night, interrupting continuous sleep.

Did you know that people who experience sleep apnea can have breathing interruptions over 400 times a night.
Obstructive sleep apnea can be defined as low, moderate or severe depending on how many times someone has their breathing and sleep disrupted throughout the night.
The Apnea–Hypopnea Index (AHI) is used as a guide to work out the severity of sleep apnea. It represents the number of apnea and hypopnea events per hour of sleep
