Tell people what you think

Because of the volume of calls I've been getting lately, I'm instituting a new intake policy. If you call (816-282-0144) and leave a message, I or my assistant will generally respond on Tuesday and Friday mornings between 8 am and noon, unless you have just been released from an inpatient unit, in which case I will return the call within 24 hours.

I do not do couples' therapy, but am happy to refer you to Katherine Malone, LCSW, at 816-920-3085. I no longer do in home therap...y, but am happy to refer you to Christina Ebert at 816-813-9886. I am currently close to full capacity and considering instituting a waiting list or drop in clinic. I have no evening or late afternoon availability at this time.

I am not a physician and cannot prescribe medications. If you are looking for medication management please look under the "psychiatrist" listing for your insurance.

Thank you for dropping by. I hope this post has helped you find what you're looking for.

The schools appear to be closed today because of the early morning road icing. I will be open starting at noon, but won't be upset if people cancel because of the roads or weather. If you have a scheduled appointment today, please let me know if you're coming or not.

Welcome to those of you who went to my website and wound up here. In the interest of consolidation, this is now where you go to for information about Responsive Mental Health Services LLC. The website has been deleted.

I am normally closed when the local schools are closed. I will be calling all of today's clients to see if they want to reschedule and will play it by ear, because today's closing are cold based and not bad roads based. The weather lifts tomorrow and I should have no more cancellations or reschedulings at my end for awhile.

In accordance with my bad weather policy, because the Independence School District will be closed today, January 11, we will also be closed. The rain this morning will turn to sheets of ice on the road by noon, and traveling will be dangerous. Stay safe out there.

Taking a sick day. An important reminder. If you have a contagious illness or condition, cancel all non-essential appointments until you are 100% sure you are no longer contagious. Not only can you get your practitioner sick, but you risk getting other clients sick and/or causing them to miss essential, life saving appointments.

Taking a sick day, tomorrow. God willing and the creek don't rise, I'll see y'all on Wednesday.
