In short, know before you go. If you go to Reconstructive Foot and Ankle, bring your checkbook. You're going to need it. Dr. Michaels is a specialist and offers good care, but you're gonna pay.
In ...short, here's my story: I was a little peeved at all of the charges that was charged to my insurance company and then passed on to me in the form of co-pay and deductables. But this incident pushed me to write a letter and post here. I ordered shoes through the office. I got a call they came in. I got a call they came in. I walked in, picked them up, walked out. $100 charge to my insurance company for an "Office Visit" AND a $30 co-pay charge to me. Pure, unethical, BS!
Yeah, my foot is better. But I sure won't be going back!

Compassionate & knowledgable staff & Doctor--highly recommend!
Winter is fast approaching and even without the ice and snow, falls pose a great risk to our elderly patients, family, friends, and neighbors. If you or your loved ones have a hard time getting around, it may be a good idea to have a Fall Risk Assessment preformed by our office. This assessment will be able to determine if you are at risk for falls and if you could benefit from custom made Moore Balance Braces to reduce your chances of falling. Falls can be fatal to the elderly and with the help of the Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Institute they can be prevented! Take a look at our short video regarding falls and make sure to visit our website for additional information!
