The Roads got extremely treacherous today. Was the scariest roads and conditions I have ever driven in. They got far worse than this video shows, but I will post some stills of the roads and scenes when I get time.

Zenith Beach (NSW 224) is framed between two conical headlands, 160 m high Tomaree to the north and 140 m Stephens Peak to the south. Walking tracks lead to the top of Tomaree Head and out to Point Stephens. The 400 m long beach, faces east and is backed by a 10-20 m high foredune which links with the quieter Shoal Bay beach behind, the two tying the head to the mainland.

The mountain rises to 1,271 metres (4,170 ft) above sea level and is frequently covered by snow, sometimes even in summer, and the lower slopes are thickly forested, but crisscrossed by many walking tracks and a few fire trails. There is also a sealed narrow road to the summit, about 22 kilometres (14 mi) from Hobart central business district.

An enclosed lookout near the summit has views of the city below and to the east, the Derwent estuary, and also glimpses of the World Heritage Area nearly 100 kilometres (62 mi) west.

The area is most famous for its lovely layers of snow each winter, and when the first flakes begin to fall, visitors travel from hours away to experience it. Snowmen pop up on every street and snowball fights are a very popular pastime- and not just for the children!

Oberon has a very high altitude of 1113 metres above sea level, and some villages and localities around the township sit as high as 1395metres, which is higher than anywhere in the Blue Mountains. Oberon’s winter days are cool and crisp, with of course frosts and regular dustings of snow. Winter is a perfect time for visitors to come and enjoy the enchanting snow-laden countryside, rug up and hunt for some truffles under a clear winter sky or cuddle up by an open fire and watch the snowflakes drift past the window.

Govetts Leap Lookout is a popular spot to stop and view the spectacular panorama before descending into the Grose Valley for one of the regions more physical walks where you can view the towering cliffs leading back up to Perry Lookdown and Evans Lookout.

Saturday night myself and Tory Grimaldi met up for a sunset at Cahill's Lookout which was so last minute that I did not make it in time, so we decided to head to Govett's Leap to see what the night would have in store. We were just chilling and having a couple of beers and we noticed some distant flashes of light. We decided to stick around and were treated to multiple storms with a magnificent light show that went on for 2 and a half hours.

Victoria’s best known highway, the Great Ocean Road, runs 150 miles from Torquay to near Warrnambool, but the scenic drive continues along the Victoria coast to the South Australia state line. Drive it the other way, from west to east, to parallel the route of 19th-century shipborne immigrants.

The formations are found at Loch Ard Gorge and are an awesome subject for some landscape photography.

Created by constant erosion of the limestone cliffs of the mainland beginning 10–20 million years ago, the stormy Southern Ocean and blasting winds gradually eroded the softer limestone, forming caves in the cliffs.

The caves eventually became arches and when they collapsed rock stacks up to 45 metres high were left isolated from the shore. View the 12 Apostles at sunrise and sunset as they change colour from dark and foreboding in shadow to brilliant sandy yellow under a full sun.

Surf Beach, Narooma has two amazing sites of ancient geological significance and beauty at either end of the sandy beach. At the southern end lie the imposing Glasshouse Rocks; a photographers dream and recognised by the Geological Society of Australia as dating between 510 and 440 million years old. They are possibly the most photographed rocks along the Eurobodalla coastline rivalling the 12 Apostles.

At the northern end of Surf Beach at the 'bar' is a stunning formation known as Australia Rock: another photographers dream and again a freak of nature forming from the remnants of volcanic activity hundreds of millions of years ago.

Leura is now as popular for visitors to the Blue Mountains as Katoomba itself. The area boasts many gardens which are privately owned yet open at selected times of the year to the public. Leura Garden Festival and Leura Village Fair are popular events held in October each year. There are also many lookouts and waterfalls just like this one to explore and enjoy!
