    The world we know just continues to crumble away. RIP Alan Myers of DEVO. Talked with him only a matter of months ago and had no idea he was ill. This would be a good time for those of you who only know of "Whip It" to learn who DEVO really is and what they stand for. They were punk before punk. They produced some of the most artistic satirical audiovisual critiques of American modernism and worship of technology/industry/consumption.

    Just finished a crazy remix for Espai Music, Jordi Triumph's label. Collaborated with Devon Hughes aka Rhythm Droid, nearly 12 minutes long, in several movements, created using live hardware (xoxbox, SH-101, TR-707 etc) recording and arranging live but also using Reason 7 and software.. total fusion of analog/digital/old/new/syncing/several methods of sequencing.. the result is something I am very, very, happy with and a made in a very unique way... my studio is a mess of gear at the moment. -RF

    Thanks to everyone to tuned in to DE Radio's broadcast last night, live from Vancouver, BC. Rennie Foster took us to some very special places with his mind blowing DJ set, and I recorded my live acid set, so that should be popping up on the web soon. Today I'll be working with Rennie on recording some new material, then I'll get a tour of the "real" Vancouver. Super excited!
