June 1. Get Ready.

"If you are in Algonquin Park over the next day or so, keep your eye out for this guy. He is from France and has been on the road with his bike for 8 months, starting in Australia, eventually to Vancouver and now biking across Canada. The canoe came on board a few days ago, when he decided he should do some canoeing while in Canada, so bought it on Kijiji. The seller helped him fabricate the trailer out of a ladder, some kiddie bike tires and scrap lumber. He'll likely put the bike in the canoe and paddle from Lake of Two Rivers to Whitney, and possibly further down the Madawaska River. Solid dude, very friendly and interesting to chat with. "

“Let me tell you what I think of bicycling. I think it has done more to emancipate women than anything else in the world. It gives women a feeling of freedom and self-reliance. I stand and rejoice every time I see a woman ride by on a wheel…the picture of free, untrammeled womanhood.” - Susan B. Anthony

Happy Father's Day, to all fathers worth celebrating. Here's to making better fathers out of us sons for the next generation to come too.

What could happen in 36 hours?

Eric Miranda from Vancouver speaks on the Montreal Massacre on December 6th, 1989, and how he as a young man can make a difference - and think you ought to as well. Misogyny is still commonplace, and Eric has pledged not to be a bystander.

Please see his video project here, and if you like what you see, vote on it so he may take this project to Ottawa, to share with other students from across Canada.
