When I left Jamaica at the age of 7, I realized there was a much bigger world out there and Jamaica was actually pretty small in comparison. I was told that people left Jamaica because it was small and there was much greater opportunity elsewhere. I mean, it's why my parents came. So small island meant to me you had small opportunity and therefore small accomplishments.

As I grew, I found out more about American History, the Pan-American movement and the impact that Marcus Garvey had. And as anyone who has been on a cruise ship knows, you don't even have to go to Jamaica to get a healthy dose of Bob Marley. My childhood GIANTS were not just GIANTS in my world. They were really WORLDWIDE giants!

And they came from a place of only a little more than 4000 square miles.

Forget about where you come from, some of us feel small in our own skin! We operate in fear daily because we feel like we don't have the right name, the right size, the right friends, or the right skin color.

But you've got a purpose. You've got GIANT purpose!
You've got power. It's GIANT power!
You've got a dream. And it's a GIANT dream.

EMBRACE your inner giant because it's who you were meant to be. Take those moments of doubt, the times when you were crushed and use them as the fuel that finally ignites the GIANT fire within you!

Marianne Williamson said it best -

So that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us;
