at the 2013 ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot!
7:45 a.m. – Sound begins at Finish Line/Kids’ K
Welcome to the 23rd annual ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot benefitting Caritas of Austin. We’re thrilled to have you here celebrating your Thanksgiving with us!
Since 1975, ThunderCloud Subs has been Austin’s original neighborhood sub shop with a rich tradi...tion of serving fresh, fast, and healthy food.
The ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot was originally started as a way for ThunderCloud Subs employees to build community with one another and work towards a common goal. Now, the event is bigger than ThunderCloud Subs. The Trot has grown from 600 participants in 1990 to more than 20,000 last year.
Packet pick-up and registration is open on the Long Center Terrace for those of you who still need to register.
The Stepping Stone School has a giant tent full of kid’s activities, so be sure to take your little Turkey Trotters to check-out what they have going on.
Don’t forget, it’s not too late to enter for your chance to win a brand new 2014 Honda Accord EX-L from First Texas Honda, valued at more than $30,000! Second and third place winners receive gift packages from Mellow Johnny’s valued at $1,250 each.
This raffle is a win-win because one hundred percent of ticket sales go directly to Caritas of Austin. Even if you don’t end up winning, you can still leave happy knowing that your money went to a great cause.
Tickets are only $25 each, or you can get four for $75. Head over to the New Registration Area or the Caritas Tent to purchase your Raffle tickets now. The winner will be announced at 10:45 a.m. on the band stage.
Also, a few logistical items– bathrooms are on the east side of the Long Center parking garage near South 1st and just west of the finish line near the round-a-bout. Water is available at the Water Monster behind the AT&T U-verse display, as well as on the course.
Parents, if you lose your child, or kids, if you lose your parents, head over to the Lost Kids tent next to Stepping Stone School and the volunteers will help you. Lost and found items can be taken to the Lost Kids Tent.
Awards will be announced at 10:50 a.m. on the Terrace. Run results can be seen on the terrace at the Timed tent.
The Kids’ K will begin at 8:45 a.m. on Auditorium Shores by the balloon arch.

Since 1964, Caritas has been fighting poverty, hunger, and homelessness in Austin. Each year, Caritas serves more than 20,000 people and helps its clients achieve long term self-sufficiency.
The ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot has raised more than $1.8 million for Caritas since the tradition began in 1991.
Last year’s ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot presented Caritas with more than $325,000 to aid the less fortunate in our community. Thanks to all of you here today, we hope to exceed that amount this year.
ThunderCloud Subs is grateful for all of you for being with us today. And so am I. Now let’s have some fun.
