So we got a new cat! I have a new step-cat! He’s younger than all of our cats and has that nice firm youthful feel to him. He and Maestro are actually doing fine together – Maestro is hissing a little but i also saw him sneak a lick or two on Abel when he was asleep.

This weekend was one of hubris for me, as one of my teammates for the run had a pretty badly sprained ankle and I was like ‘there there, you set the pace, we’ll stick with you, don’t push yourself’ and then she literally left me in the dust.

My water aversion issue has gotten more fraught now that everyone in my life has discovered and fallen in love with the hot tub on the roof of the condo, but I’m happy to go and hang out regardless.

The kissing thing can be a real challenge for people, it’s just such a common way to express affection. But there are other options! Who doesn’t love a nice good lean, or being gently bit on the hand.

I have lost flexibility, grace, and strength, but I sure can remember translate a set of verbal commands into a string of connected movement. I mean, I know how, at least. Getting my body to actually DO them, that’s another issue.

Another productive session with my psychiatrist. Waking up has always been the worst part of my day most days, but lately it’s been very difficult. Also the events depicted here are absolutely true and my partner is an incredibly tolerant sweetheart.
