MUSLIMS TO CHALLENGE MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT ISLAM My question is why... is it 60 men? Considering one of the biggest perceptions is that women are oppressed under Islam. Would it not make more sense for both sexes to be out trying to challenge these misconceptions? The road trip will see young men from six cities visit more than 50 rural towns on the way to a gathering at Uluru. A group of young Australian Muslims are embarking on a rural expedition across the country to challenge misconceptions about their faith. More than 60 young men from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AYMA) will travel from six cities this weekend on a seven-day ‘Discover Islam road trip’, culminating in a gathering at Uluru. The group, made up of several high school and university students, will cover more than 30,000km and stop at more than 50 towns along the way in an effort to promote social cohesion. A LITTLE BIT OF CONTEXT Jacinda Ardern says Australia has to 'answ...er to Pacific' on climate change. Perhaps she should be asking a few other countries to answer first, or better still, keep her nose out of other countries affairs and concentrate on fixing problems in her own country. See More

NO PENALTY FOR GIPPY GOAT ACTIVIST Looks to me like if you’re a cra...zy vegan animal activist or a nutty climate change activist you can break the law without any consequences. AN animal activist who stole livestock from the Gippy Goat Cafe in Gippsland has been let off “scot-free” despite being found guilty. Michayla Rogers faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court last week charged with one count of theft. But despite the court finding her guilty, she received no penalty. Police told The Weekly Times its request for financial restitution for the animals that were still missing was also refused. Gippy Goat Cafe and farm owner John Gommans said he was “appalled” at the “absolute travesty”. “So you can just come and steal stuff and it’s free,” he said.
