Are you competitive? Can you assess a situation quickly and act decisively? Can you hold up under pressure? Utah Crew is looking for small people (boy or girl, preferably under 120 pounds) who want to make a difference as a coxswain. A great coxswain can steer a perfect course, create unison in the boat both mentally and physically, motivate teammates, demoralize the competition, call the right move at the right time, and get the boat across the finish line first!
If you are ...a boy or girl between the ages of 13 and 18 and looking for a new sport and think you have what it takes to lead our rowers--or if you know someone who is--drop us a line at email@example.com.
NO EXPERIENCE OR KNOWLEDGE OF ROWING REQUIRED.
Please LIKE us and SHARE this post so we can reach more families!
More info on Utah Crew can be found at www.utahcrew.org.
Women have been rowing seriously longer than you would think.
Quite a collection of images of women's rowing through the centuries... yes, spanning three centuries, from the 1800's to present! From the great rowing history blog Hear the Boat Sing (dot com) and writer Tim Koch. Click on the link below to view...
Many of our rowers were able to go down to Las Vegas for Presidents' Day Weekend to get back on the water and scrimmage against the Lake Las Vegas Juniors. It was a great rowing and team building experience.
Here are photos from the weekend!
