I have Coached Baseball for different teams that have played in Rosevile and I also played there myself when I was younger. Adam and his staff do a great job on the fields and they are all good peop...le. I now umpire and I'll just say that if your looking for a league where they put the kids first and want to be fair to everyone, this is it. As a umpire you love a Recreation manager that will back you as a umpire and is firm but fair with parents and coaches. Adam and his staff are not only friendly and professional but they truly care about the kids and everyone involved. See More

I have rented the gym and the banquet rooms several times and this was by far the worse experience I have ever had when renting a room! I normally deal with Tony the director but he was not available.... However I dealt with the butch lady whom I believe is the manager and very rude. I have never rented a space where you CAN'T move the tables..... any other time I have rented the space there they would ask me how I would like them to set it up. I came in on Friday to try on a table cloth on one of the tables and ask if I could speak to the manager because my measurements weren't correct. And the tables were too big. She did agree to let me bring in my own 6ft table. I also asked her if I could move the tables because I didn't need 18 tables for 40 people She said we won't have our staff move them if you move them you would be responsible if there was any damage... fast forward to the day of the event. I had two staff members confront me in front of guest about the tables!!! After I told them about our conversation I guess they called the butch lady with the bob... well in she comes asking if I was the person who rented the room yelling down the hall way you won't get your deposits back because I told you not to move the tables as if I was a kid or something. I repeated her words verbatim from the day before and she yelled again you won't get your deposits back. How rude is it to talk to a person that way with guest coming in and out of the hall way and she is speaking to me in such a rude tone!!! Be professional pull the person aside or in a office and have a civilized conversation!!! My taxes pays your salary for god sake! This is not our first encounter with her. She's even been rude to my husband before and I didn't believe him until Saturday.. no one who behaves in such a manner should be working here especially when your paying to rent a space contract or no contract! I don't care what it says I know what she said before I left and repeated it back!!! I felt disrespected and embarrassed about how I was treated! Never again and I will be writing a letter to Tony, the mayor of Roseville and Eastpointe and the clerks office! No one who treats people this way should be working here! See More

I had an issue with the quality of one of the classes. The director, Bobbi, contacted me and offered every solution you could think of. She listened and acted on the problem by the very next class. ...Coach Steph is very patient with this rambunctious age group and having an assistant made a noticeable difference with activity time. Very pleased with how much they cared about our experience being a good one. She pointed out that they can't fix what they don't know about. I'm glad they took the time to reach out to me and find out what the problem was See More

Don't get me wrong it's good for kid's to get out and get to socialize with other children in the Tuesday and Thursday indoor play, HOWEVER there are a couple of very unruly children in there that see...m to get away with bully behavior. On Tuesday a child stole my own son's toy right out of his hand, yes I know he shouldn't have brought a toy in, but it was small and he's done it before with no issue. Anyways, this child snatched my son's toy and was running around the gym after I repeatedly asked him to stop. After I could not find the worker or the child's mother...which were not even in the gym, I cornered the boy, which was in a playhouse, and took the toy back out of his hand. So today I go in and I get reprimanded because "I put my hands on a child." For one he was blocked in a playhouse so I didn't have to touch him and for 2. Yes I did grab MY son's toy out of this kid's hand. My child is 3 1/2, this boy is 5 and totally unruly. If his mother is not going to do anything, nor the worker who is supposed to be making sure everything runs smoothly, then I will. I will not allow another child to bully my child....NEVER! Whether from another child or parent. This child is horrible, I'm not the only one who feels this way, and he's allowed to get away with such behavior!? I think not! He runs into other kids with riding toys, takes toys from kids who are playing with them 1st, hits and kicks....and nothing is done!? But I take MY sons toy back and I get in trouble lol....What a joke! Seems someone's priorities are a little backwards. See More

My boys both played sports through the rec and now they both work there. The programs are great and now as employers the rec accommodates their school schedule. They treat you like family.

I had my baby shower here on 2/26/17.. it was a little bumpy at first. When I tell you the staff was very accommodating, polite, remained professional under my pregnant raft of sweats all with a smile...... made me gain MORE RESPECT THAN I CAN EXPRESS for them, their structure and the whole 9! I love the atmosphere, they checked on trash consistently within our gathering and always was tentative! At the end of the night, I had to personally walk down and thank the two young ladies that helped us.. and also send a thanks to the gentleman rod as well. I will most definitely be returning for future endeavors! See More

The RARE center is a remarkable place to meet and greet. The staff works with you to give you a warm welcome. The activities are fun and in abundance and you can always find something to engage in. Th...e exercise classes are shared in groups and everyone works out at their own individual pace. Lunch is served in a family group setting and the meals are always nutritious. I have lost four pounds since I started exercising in October. MARY and KIM have been my contact persons and have not failed to assist me when needed. I recommend the facility highly to seniors looking for a good environment to socialize. Karen Cooper See More
