This is our 2018 Motto Text: These three remain: faith, hope and love but the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13). Elaine Ridgway has produced another splendid Pulpit Fall to illustrate this verse. What do you see in it?
Our first Saturday morning prayer meeting of 2018 encouraged us to a review the year gone by, and to thank God for love, life and "holy possibilities" as we look forward to what 2018 holds. Please do join us for our first Sunday service of 2018. What does our New Year Promise mean to you?
DISCOVER THE GREATEST GIFT IN THE UNIVERSE. Life Explored is a seven session series featuring short films — shot around the world — combined with input and group discussion. It’s a safe place to discuss, ask questions, and reflect. It does not assume that you consider yourself religious or ever read the Bible.
Would you like to know more? Please join us weekly from the 8th of February 2018, 7:30pm, and explore answers to the big questions in life. There is no charge.
Well done to all the wonderful volunteers who helped Brooke School today with renovations on their shop opposite church.
There is still some cleaning and unpacking to do to help get the shop ready for the students, so please do drop round there for a bit if you have a spare half hour or more between 10am and 12 noon - every little helps!
Such a wonderful day in the shop. Massive thank you to: Pete, Aman, Andrew and Jennie from Gap warehouse, Heather from Brooke Family Team, Phil from BEC, Ed and... colleague from the travel training team. The shop looks huge. Can't believe how much you all achieved - everything on the list plus more!
Enough for Everyone? Our Christmas Day offering here at RBC will be one response to that question. We will be supporting Christian Aid's anti-hunger campaigns in parts of sub-Saharan Africa. This is why:
Two days to go until the fun starts at our Christmas holiday club. Are you ready? It's not too late to sign your child up http://www.rugbybaptist.org.uk/registration/
Thanks to all who donated to our CAP hampers. With some cash donations, we were able to make up 3 to send off. I know from previous years how very much they are appreciated by the Christians Against Poverty clients
Well done if you were able to make it through the snow to church this morning! The Brigades led a thought provoking service which challenged us to look deeper at the Christmas story, and we collected donations of toys for Barnados to distribute to children who may otherwise receive little this Christmas. THANK YOU to everyone who helped make it all possible this morning, despite the snow!

Our Christmas holiday club this year is themed The Greatest Gift. We are going to spend a playful, interactive day exploring the gift that God has given us in Jesus. There will be fun, faith, food, music and craft; a sandwich lunch is provided.
Our club runs 10:00am–2:30pm (registration open 9:30am) and is intended for children from reception up to year 6. Lunch is at 12:45pm. From 1:30pm onwards parents are warmly invited to join the afternoon crafts and songs, not to forget mince pies and a cup of tea!
We ask for a donation of £2.50 (one child) to cover some of our costs. The cost for a family of two children is £4, one of three or more £5. The holiday club takes place in the Regent Rooms, Regent Place CV21 2PJ.
Brooke School, a special school in Rugby, are opening a shop to be run by students right opposite Rugby Baptist Church. This is a great project, and we're delighted to welcome them to Regent Place! Please visit their Facebook page and like and share it to get the word out. Also, find information on their page about what help they're looking for, including what items they need to sell and when are good times to drop things off at the shop.
A lovely Rugby Advertiser article on the lift project. “Winning help for this project would be amazing to help my boys to access the brigade fully each week.” Please share and ask your friends to vote on https://community-fund.aviva.co.uk/vot…/project/view/17-1020
