Does 2018 spell doom for PHP?

Certainly not. PHP is still the most widely used server side scripting language, and with the advancements introduced in PHP7 has started to regain popularity. The list of PHP based applications in huge, including modern and legacy applications, and the user base of these applications is beyond counting. It comes pre-packaged with almost all Linux distributions.

Most content management systems and frameworks, such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla an...d Magento are built with PHP, as are most corporate websites in the world, such as Sony Music, Bloomberg, BBC america, MTV News, and The Walt Disney Company. PHP powers the internet as we know it.

All the more reason to stick with PHP. At RunCloud, server deployment is done in only minutes. Start your free trial now.

I'm extremely impressed with RunCloud's product. I've been a ServerPilot user for at least a couple ...years, but found it lacking. I then tried out Forge, to which I was quite impressed, but I recently ran into issues with multiple SSL certs on a server for different domains... I then briefly tried Moss, which has potential, but is not polished. Finally I came across RunCloud, which has everything that I was needing and then some. I've already transferred three of my servers and plan on transitioning several more. Great work! See More
The system is great actually way bettern than ServerPilot, but they lack on support. Initial request... and response from a chat box is fast and efficient but after that things go downhill. I had to wait days for an answer or repeat my issue on live chat system for them to answer. Probably you need a robust help system. See More
Tried it for a while, but highly unstable on two separate servers.
Web applications, mostly Wordpre...ss, needs constant rebuilding or it will continuously show 502 Bad Gateway.
Requires quite a bit of RAM too. While EasyEngine and ServerPilot's stacks can handle two low-load WP sites on a VPS with 384MB of RAM, RunCloud's Maria DB crashes with almost every visit. Same server, same sites.
I guess it's still early days, but the server has been highly unstable with Runcloud and rock solid with EasyEngine and Serverpilot.
If Runcloud fixes the instability issues it is a solid choice for server management - the price is right and the features are plenty. I'll be the first to buy, but at the moment I can't afford the downtime on important projects.
Even now, on a VPS with 1GB RAM and two cached Wordpress installs one of them is offline due to 502 error.
