After several months of stress and lack of sleep and continuous work, Wizard World Philadelphia ended at 5:00 pm today. I'm so sad it's over but I'm so glad I got to have my first booth there. It was a long, hard road to get there, but I'm proud I managed to get myself together and make it there. I love comic book conventions so much. In every day life, I feel really stupid. I'm not good at math, science, or history. I'm awful at street names, historical dates, or even rememb...ering peoples names when they introduce themselves. My brain just doesn't grasp any of it. Comic con is the one place I feel smart. I know so many of the characters, the symbols, the stories. At comic con, I'm surrounded by everything I love and everyone there is happy because they are surrounded by their passions as well. Everyone that came by the Rusty Dragonfly booth was so nice and excited to be there. It was a wonderful weekend and I thank everyone who came. The people at the booths around me like Nitemare Child Designs and Masqued Minis (https://www.facebook.com/masqued.minis?fref=ts) were ridiculously kind and so welcoming and full of information when they found out it was my first convention as an artist. I'm in withdrawal knowing it's over but I'm already so looking forward to my booth next year!
New stuff making it's way to the shop. This Loki bracelet, as well as Vision from the Avengers universe. Rogue from X-Men and Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy as well!
So, now that the listing has appeared on the website, I can officially announce that I will have a booth at the 2016 Wizard World Philadelphia Convention! It has been a dream of mine to have a booth at a comic book convention since I attended my first New York Comic Con back in 2008 before I even started the Rusty Dragonfly. Now here it is! I am so excited to take this next step and show my work to my fellow comic book and pop culture nerds!
Introducing Storm, the first of the X-Men inspired Byzantine weave chainmaille bracelets. More to come!
Next month starts the "Choose Your Side" campaign at the Rusty Dragonfly, pitting Steve Rogers against Tony Stark for the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" film (hitting theaters May 6th). Here is a byzantine weave bracelet based on my personal choice, Captain America. Who's side are you on?
New Marvel items finally hitting the store! The Avengers line has extended from Scale Mail Armor to a stylish Byzantine weave. X-Men coming soon as well!
I'm on a roll! Another photograph available on multiple items including pillows and prints.
My second photography piece on Red Bubble! This is available in several items from iPhone and Samsung Galaxy cases to posters to tote bags and more.
I've put my first image up on Red Bubble. It's available on iPhone and Samsung cases. Let me know what you think! In the future (hopefully early next year) I hope to have illustrations and fanart available for purchase on a variety of products through Red Bubble.
