NEWS: They are the reigning Paralympic and world champions in wheelchair rugby, and now the Australian Steelers are hoping to extend their golden reign at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

The draw for RIO 2016 is out

The IWRF, in partnership with the Rio 2016 Organising Committee are pleased to release the Wheelchair Rugby schedule for the Rio 2016 Paralympics! Who else is counting down the days (53) until the action begins in Brazil?

The wheelchair rugby competition will begin at 10:30 (BRT) on Wednesday, 15 September with defending Paralympic champions Australia taking on Great Britain. Host nation Brazil will face Canada to close out the first day of play at 19:15.

Final day today at the Canada cup with a 3 goal win against Sweden. We have finished with a second place with a 5-1 record and moved up to second in the world ranking. 84 days until we all go at it again in Rio for Paralympic glory. Go Aussie 🇦🇺👍🏻💪🏻

Had a tough 4 point loss to USA today. Not the best game by all but lots to work on followed up tonight with a 21 point win over Switzerland that makes us 2 from 3.... Big day tomorrow with GB and Canada.
