Is this true, I saw it on social media . . . "Trump supporters brutally attack gay man in California"
  • At least SMPD still has REAL black and white police cars. Chief Sea...brooks may have screwed up the badge, but the cops still look like real police officers while responding to calls. Thank you retired Chief Jackson!!! For decades SMPD had patrol cars that could not be easily distinguished from private security vehicles and taxi cabs. See More
  • From Mike Von Achen. I received this email the other night, on Face...book Messenger. It just goes to show you that a street cop can change lives. This occurred about 30 years ago. Sgt. Major of the LAWA Army at Lawa Lives in Los Angeles, California JAN 24TH, 1:23AM Are you on this thing any more? SAT 8:42PM You accepted Ryan's request. Do I know you? My name is Ryan Carter. I was one of the Punk Rock kids on the 3rd St promenade in the 80's. I just wanted to say thank you. I was a borderline delinquent then. Your kindness changed my outlook on law enforcement. One night I was trying to get to a concert at the Olympic auditorium downtown, it was a job bouncing for the promoter of a concert. You parked your unit and gave me a lift in your POV. You always treated us with dignity and respect. If you ever wondered if you reached one kid, changed the path for good in someone's life, you DID!!! I am currently the acting watch commander for LAX Airport Police Traffic and Security Operations. Again thank you Ryan started sharing video. You stopped viewing Ryan's video. By the way. I completed the POST bicycle class with SMPD. apparently you are known and "the legend". See More

Wow, the one stars out number the 5 stars. Unfortunately, another one star to boot. A report came in that a burglary was... in process and 19 officers went to the resident. The major problem was the homeowner was the resident and was African American. Apparently, African Americans are not allowed in Santa Monica. The protect and serve did not occur. Even when the homeowner stated that she lived there, the officers completely ignored all statements. This is a fu**ed up city where homeowners can be arrested for residing in their home and being black. See More

So today at about 5:30pm, some scumbag broke into my car in broad daylight, car parked in my carport while I was home, b...reaking out the windows and stealing whatever they could. Called the police to file a report and within minutes they arrived at my place, got me/my car into forensics at police station, already investigating/tracking down the thief (because they got fingerprints), and have been keeping surveillance in my area ever since. They even came back to check on me and make sure I was ok. I couldn't thank them enough! I've called the police here 3 times ever (to help rescue a neighbor's dog, to help an old lady in laundromat, and now this), and every time they've been uber sweet, so helpful, very professional, and super quick on the scene.
#IlovetheSantaMonicaPolice!!!! So much they got my first hashtag shoutout EVER!
