Winter Olympics at the Gale Library

The Winter Olympics have been filling the recent weeks with competition, excitement and suspense. Let’s get the kids involv...ed in this global event by having our own mini Games at the Gale Library during School Vacation week on Wednesday, February 28th at 2 PM.

There will be our own indoor mini events like the opening of our games with a Torch Relay followed by carpet Skating, individual or pairs. Try hockey with paper towel hockey sticks and a little Frisbee curling. Make your own luge from Legos and race it on our chutes or build your Ski Jumper and measure how far it jumps.

There’ll be crafts to make - Ski Jumper Straw Rockets, Magnetic Skaters, and coloring pages, as well as Power Punch and snacks to keep our energy up.

We’ll end our games with a Parachute Closing Ceremony.

Sign up is necessary, so drop in or call the Library to register at 382-4691.
