Following extensive representations by me, the High Court, yesterday, ordered that the Duke of Leinster's Rent Table be released from the care of the National Museum and handed in to the care of Kildare Co. Council. the Rent Table will now make its way to its new home, Athy Heritage Centre Museum. This move has been envisaged for a long time by the Duke of Leinster and indeed Athy Heritage Centre Museum. (NB the picture is not the actual Rent Table!!)

I had the pleasure of welcoming a distinguished group of educationalists and chief executives from the Chicago and Philadelphia areas to Leinster House this morning. The group was involved in supporting the World Meeting of Families conference, held in the City of Brotherly Love in 2015. My visitors are in Ireland to discuss and offer advice to the organisers of the 2018 conference which is to be held in Dublin. The coordinator of the 2018 Dublin conference is Fr Tim Bartlett, pictured on the left of the group picture. I welcomed the group to Leinster House and gave them an outline of our political system. They head to Rome this afternoon. I wish every success to the organisers of the Dublin World Meeting of Families Conference who are already gearing up to this important event in August next year.
