“When future Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh is confirmed later this month, the unsung hero of the battle will be Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa). Grassley, who is spearheading one of the most profound changes to the federal judiciary in modern history, had already played a central role in confirming a record number of circuit court judges and Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch. Following Kavanaugh’s nomination, Grassley smoothly navigated throu...gh choppy political waters, running the hearings with aplomb and applying just the right touch for the brilliant, polished Kavanaugh to shine at his brightest,” wrote Dr. Roger Klein in an op-ed on The Hill.

“Chairman Grassley has led an extremely fair and transparent process. President Trump’s outstanding judicial legacy, the indelible mark he is leaving on the federal courts including the confirmation of soon to be Justice Brett Kavanaugh, could not occur without the groundwork, persistence, and heroics of Senator Chuck Grassley.”

This saga began two years ago, with the unfortunate and sudden death of iconic conservative Justice Antonin Scalia.

“For more than 32 hours, Judge Kavanaugh has sat before the TV lights of the Senate Judiciary Committee, fielding questions from our 21-member panel. By any measure, his testimony was outstanding. In the face of a coordinated effort by opponents to derail the hearing, Kavanaugh was unflappable, showcasing his deep understanding of case law and legal precedent, his judicial independence, and his unwavering fidelity to the Constitution,” Senator Chuck Grassley wrote in an op-ed.

“Kavanaugh is, without a doubt, one of the most qualified and prepared candidates I have ever encountered in my 38 years on the Judiciary Committee. He will make an exceptional justice on the Supreme Court.”

The Judiciary Committee received more records from Judge Kavanaugh’s executive branch service than from the previous five Supreme Court nominees combined.

The refusal of Ms Ford to testify unless FBI investigates is a shame. The FBI should not be investi...gating this. This at best in its day was a police matter, of which any statute of limitations has long past. He has been investigated already by FBI each appointment to determine if he is threat to national security and he was found not to be. To think the tainted FBI should be involved is ludicrous. This is a delay to midterm, or to 'dig up' unknown sources or other crazy accusations. This isnt about his character, he has been confirmed before. If more was out there it would have surfaced. As a voter I reccomend you end this circus and conduct the vote. Even Democrats supporters are crying foul. See More
It’s nothing but a smoke screen for the politics of corrupt men against women.
They have already pl...aced one sex pervert on the SCOTUS in Thomas. Now they want another. No FBI investigation means they’re afraid of what the evidence will be as I see it. See More
I’ve watched the Rosenstein and Wray testimony pretty much all day today and I am embarrassed that o...ur democratic representatives are minimizing the importance of the discussion and the investigation. It seems that they each feel that they’ve “wasted” enough time on this “stupid” investigation and discussion. Each and every load of requested documents turns up more dirt that you don’t want released to the public. Every one of you democratic representatives is an embarrassment to our country. See More
