Great clean place. And the staff are all amazing. I adopted my cat from here and when I get more room I will be adopting again. Super friendly and even in the chaos of a busy day they are doing a great job.

We moved to Humboldt over ten years ago and have adopted two dogs in that time, both from Sequoia. I love that they cater to those who have thought out their situation and have specific wants/needs, a...nd not impulse adoptions. Couldn't be happier. See More

This is a wonderful place to find amazing animals to adopt. The people at Sequoia Humane truly care about animals and are quite serious when it comes to finding "fur-ever" homes. They take every uni...on very seriously, and do everything in their power to ensure the adoptions are as successful as possible for both the animals and the people who are fortunate enough to adopt. We couldn't ask for a better place, especially in this small community! I am so thankful to have adopted from this special place. See More

Adopted my dog Mitzy (now called Snoopy) at the Sequoia Humane Society on June 12th. I was impressed at the care given to the animals in spite of limited resources. There are many wonderful animals ...waiting for a loving home there. Give them a chance! They may require some training and an adjustment period but they are worth it and you will be rewarded with a great companion. Snoopy and I are still working on some training but she is the most delightful little friend I could have hoped for. See More

I love how much the staff truly cares about placing their rescues in safe and happy homes! The kitten I adopted from them will be so very loved! Also worth mentioning for people that are on the fence ...about adopting from Sequoia that their $150 adoption fee is actually very cost-effective when you read the fine print- young animals are spayed/neutered, given first shot, and microchipped before being released. Total cost to have all this done at one of the cheaper area veterinarians was over that! Good to keep in mind. :) See More

We have adopted 2 of our small dogs from Sequoia Humane Society and both are wonderful well adjusted dogs. They have been such a great addition to our family. We are now in the process of looking at ...a medium-large size dog and again they have been more than helpful in answering questions about the dogs we have inquired about. We have had a wonderful experience with Sequoia Humane Society and are so thankful they provide a no kill shelter for these animals! See More
