I’ve always loved popping into Shabby for a coffee or London Fog while I’m on the go or for a bite to eat for lunch but I recently sampled some of their baking when I bought a tray of treats and they ...were amazing!!! Absolutely delish. I highly recommend them! The staff are also always warm, friendly and efficient! Shabby See More

I needed to pick up Espresso beans from Shabby Motley Handcraft which entailed hauling the 4 kids in with me. I asked them not touch anything and to stay by the door before we went in because else we went they we're bouncing around like boys would and just wanted to go home after my repeated "this is my last stop" 3 stops ago.
When I walked into Shabby my anxiety/stress level was at "CODE RED MOMMY", but by the time I left it was level "what anxiety/stress"!
Why is that? Because of their wonderful staff! I was immediately welcomed, BY ALL OF THEM and as soon as Zenith Lillie-Eakett saw my children she welcomed them over and fully engaged in their attention.
She asked them to sit quietly on the couch after they all said hello while mom got her coffee and they would get a treat. I honestly have never seen all the kids sit so awesomely in a store that I had to drag them into.
My children were all smiles when Zenith handed Jojo a bag with their treat and entrusted him to hand them out to the kids that listen once we got home; to which he did making sure his brothers all got one before eating his. I actually left the store not feeling horrible that my children interrupted others lunches.
So what's my point? My point is that the positive actions of others completely changed my day without them even knowing I was having such a stressful day. We need to remember now more than ever that one simple gesture of kindness can change someone's whole day, week, month, year, even their life!
Say hello to strangers while walking by, stay at the door that extra few seconds to hold it open for the person coming, please & thank you are still in our vocabulary, help someone when they need a hand, one simple gesture can mean the world and right now the world needs it.
Thank you ladies!

One of my favourite lunch spots! Usually order whatever the special is, one of the best brownies I've ever had, and a coffee or latte and love it every time. Their pumpkin apple cider is also amazing!... Staff are always friendly and accommodating, especially when I ask them to sub out the goat cheese. Already looking forward to my next lunch there!! :) :) See More

We found a great gem of the North at Shabby Motely!!

My 8 and 10 year old kids had decided that they wanted to crochet a couple of toys for their much younger cousins. They had an idea of what they w...anted to do, but no pattern and almost no skills. So, in to Shabby Motley we went to ask for advice and look for materials. What we left with was even better than I could have imagined.

We took private lessons with Zenith of Washboard Bills Wonder Emporium. Her imagination and creativity are endless. She was wonderful with the kids and very accommodating to their ideas and styles. Since we didn't find the perfect patterns the kids drew their own and then went from there creating what they had in their minds. They learned basic crocheting, increasing, decreasing, how to stitch pieces together and how to make pom poms. Zenith was so amazing with them, letting them explore their own designs and creativity while still moving forward with the projects and their ultimate goals.

The kids truly enjoyed going into Shabby Motley and taking classes with Zenith. We all love the sociable, easy going atmosphere of the place as well as the tasty treats and beverages. My favourite part of this experience is that the kids can now pick up some yarn and a crochet hook and create whatever they like. They have made little bags, flashlight holders, and extra toys just for the fun of it. My son is even working on a secret project of his own. It's now a lifelong skill that can grow with the kids.

I am from Thunder Bay and was in the area for business last week. I had a free day and wanted to get some work done so I stopped in at Shabby Motley's for a coffee and to use their wifi! I ended up st...aying there most of the day and through lunch as the energy was so inviting. Naturally, I ordered a sandwich for lunch, and it was DELICIOUS!! I will definitely be back next time I am in town! See More

Creative, colourful, friendly. I have had a couple of meetings in this venue because of the character of this establishment. They make a mean Matcha and their food is tasty too. It's hard not to purch...ase a fine quality fiber while you are there for lunch, as well. I don't mind, though. I fully support. See More
