Thank you for a wonderful experience! The kids got to run around on the patio and we got to look at the ocean. This was our first stop on our long road trip and we were very pleased. The service was o...utstanding and we really enjoyed this experience! See More

This is a hidden gem! Jeff and I always go at least once while visiting. And then we get chowder to go to share. They recently got their on sale license to sell alcohol! We like the chowder better... than splash. And the other choices on the menu are definitely more tasty and less greasy! See More

Thought the food was over priced. Food was just ok. I wouldn't recommend it but it had a nice view. Also you can take ur pets on the patio so thats a plus.

Had Breakfast with my son the place was clean and the staff was nice. I ordered chicken fried steak and it was some of the worst I ever had. Mushy and tasted weird. My son had over cooked calamari.

I ate there for the first time and was very pleased with the food and service. Only complaint is they were out of bread bowls for the awesome chowder. I had a bowl of chowder and calimari steak and ch...ips and both were excellent. Very rarely make it to Pismo but Shell Cafe will be a "must stop" again. See More

Good food, good service, good setting. $5 for "a" burger patty for my dog seemed a bit overpriced. Otherwise a nice place with friendly service. We will return next time we're in town.

Wish I could give a 3.5 star rating...we've been here before but I have a feeling it's changed hands or us under new management as there are some changes. I arrived on a beautiful sunny clear Saturda...y morning around 10 AM with my mom expecting to see a line out the door and parking to be nonexistent. We were pleasantly surprised we were able to park curbside and be greeted within a few steps by the host. Here's where things got odd. The nice gentleman asked me for my phone number and said he would page when he had a table ready. Bare in mind there were two other couples in the reception are who had been waiting for over 15 minutes for a table and we waited about the same amount of time. Looking around however, two thirds of the restaurant was empty - why the wait? We were finally seated and had a very pleasant waitress, everybody was real prompt with menus, the selection looked great, and they've got new mini iPads to take orders and process payment tableside. Mom and I ordered the same exact meal cooked the same exact way. Unfortunately her eggs were like hockey pucks; mine however we're perfect. The funny thing is, the table next to us received eggs that were too runny; they wanted their's hard. I thought perhaps our orders have been mixed up but the manager explained the cook specialized in Italian dinners and usually worked in the evenings so was not used to working breakfast orders. Overall the meal was very good but they've increased their prices and I would honestly say there a good five dollars per head high on most of their breakfast items for the area. My folks live here and I visit biweekly so we're pretty familiar with what's available and the price point. Overall it was a good experience however their cook needs to focus on accurate preparation of orders and their reservation and seating program could really be fine-tuned. I had to giggle because I received a text nearly 3 hours later advising me my table was ready. Kind of overkill when only two thirds of the restaurant is full and I don't understand why we had to wait so long for a table, but whatever. I'll give them another whirl as everybody needs to learn, but there are many many options in the area and if they don't get their act together they're going to go the way of any other restaurants who tried to get fancy with a higher price tag when all folks want is consistent good reasonably priced food with consistent good service. See you in two weeks! See More

We found this place by accident! I'm glad we did. First of all, the waitress was phenomenal!!! She was on top of the orders and was super fast with the drinks. The food is absolutely worth the pri...ce. The clam chowder bowl is one of the best I've had. This was our second time eating there and will more than likely go back for a 3rd time. They have a beach view from the patio which is nice. See More

It was amazing! Best clam chowder ever and they even had a menu for our dogs to have a bite to eat as well. Service was awesome. Food came out quickly and everything was fresh and hot. Whenever we are... back in that area we will surely stop back by to have a bite! See More

My wife and I tried Eggs Benedict for the first time and it was amazing. We had such a good experience with breakfast we decided to go back for lunch so that I could try the brisket and clam chowder ...and my wife could get some fish n chips. The chowder was really good, way better than Splash Cafe's Chowder and the best part was that we didn't even have to wait in line. The fish n chips was way better as well. The brisket sandwich was pretty decent, but presentation could have been better and a side added instead of just bun, brisket and coleslaw on the sandwich. See More

The Shell Cafe was amazing. I recently had my wedding reception here. The staff and owner Charlie made it memorable. They were all very helpful and friendly. They made my wedding day even more special.... I would recommend them for any event or even just stopping in for a bite. Thank you again to everyone at Shell Cafe. See More

Just had an amazing lunch at the Brunetti Shell Cafe in Pismo Beach. Charlie Brunetti and I spent an hour trying to figure out how we're related since our name is not that common. The food was epic so when you're in Pismo you have to come here

Unfinished Business revisits the old days and returns to the historic Brunetti's Shell Cafe at 1351 Price Street in Pismo Beach tonight Saturday, July 29th. Spe...cial guest Roy Henry will be appearing with Unfinished Business.

The show starts at 7pm and the cover is $10. Sorry, no reservations. Seating is first come, first seated. They have a full menu, so come early for dinner.

What's new at the Shell? Well the place is in the process of being remodeled and currently has a new configuration for music events. The stage area for the band is larger and is located on the opposite end of the building compared to the old days, the dance floor will be bigger, and they have a bigger bar near the stage area. Come check it out and experience again the magic of '60s rock and roll & soul performed live at the Shell on a beautiful Central Coast summer night, just like the old days!
