Today I experienced Leonard Cohen: A Crack in Everything at the MAC Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal. The heart-warming highlight of the engrossing immersive exhibit, which features multiple artists’ responses to Cohen’s work, was “I’m Your Man” by Candice Breitz and features Cantor Gideon Zelermyer and The Shaar choir. The choir performs back-up to 18 Cohen-ish men, unflinchingly performing their individual versions of Cohen classics for the camera. A brilliant concept and surprisingly touching.
