Here are some more photos of Broadway Primary School. The classroom block in the first picture and the girl's dorm are Silvacom funded projects completed through Classrooms for Africa. The boy's dorm is currently under construction as you will see in the photos. It is expected to be completed in the next two months. There is a need for a new kitchen at this school too. Currently, the 900 students eat three meals a day from a tiny wooden hut with one pot stove.

Over 900 students attend Broadway Primary School. The need for dormitories is huge. Some of the students travel very far distances so they sleep on the school floor at night. However, the girls won't have to do this anymore. Here's the brand new girls' dormitory, sponsored by Silvacom through Classrooms for Africa. The boys' dormitory will be completed soon. Silvacom CEO, Tom Grabowski and his wife were very excited to see this dormitory completed in person. This project is very close to their hearts.

The Bio-Resource Information Management System (BRIMS) will connect the world to Alberta’s biomass, ecosystem services, and land-use data enabling informed resource management and investment decisions.

Have you read our last blog of 2017? It's an informative piece on the benefits of using #ecosystemservices in the Environmental Assessment Process. Read Scott Wilson's blog here: https://www.silvacom.com/using-ecosystem-services-environm…/

If the environmental assessment properly addresses potential impacts of industrial development & meets stakeholder needs, much less pushback should occur.
