This time tomorrow I will be married to the love of my life. Thank you to all my beloved friends and family for travelling from Mexico, South East Asia, USA, U.K. Australia and South America to be with us on this tiny Mediterranean island that is called Malta, to celebrate our marriage. WEDGWOOD BLUE My homage to the beautiful 18th Century English ceramic legacy Wedgwood To create this look, the company brought out 18th Century archived ceramic moulds for me, (no longer in production) and baked the white filigree ornamentations you see on my body, for 17 hours, using clay from Cornwall, England. They were so fragile I hand carried them from the Wedgwood factory in the midlands in England, to London by train. Then these ornamentations were moulded into white …pro-bondo prosthetics so that the filigree could lie comfortably on the hollows of my face and collar bones.
I then combined the smaller pieces of the Wedgwood filigree ornamentation with the prosthetics and also plaster of paris ornamentations I casted using cake moulds, to create all the 3D white filigree.
The boat is a palm sized model paper gallion with over 100 tiny pieces each individually spray painted blue.
The wig is an HD film lace wig which I set on hot sticks and I styled.
The blue makeup was all airbrushed on using water based makeup to achieve the most intense matt finish I could find.
This makeup design is the most challenging and expensive makeup look I have created on myself ever, with weeks of preparation. A special thank you to my Skulltress production team, Sarah Lovell @sarahlivell for boat construction and Rob Crafer for prosthetic production.
