Well, it's finally here: Slaid Cleaves' last week as a 40-something. Join us in celebrating Slaid's 50th birthday Sunday June 8th: Stateside at the Paramount in Austin, Texas. Austin guitar hero Scrappy Jud Newcomb will be there. Plus we'll have some special guests as we look to the past and the future, including Ivan Brown (bass) and Oliver Steck (accordion, trumpet, harmonica, etc) from the Broke Down World Tour days. Slaid and I met 25 years ago this week. We took a trip back to Portland, Maine where we met and had a great night out with some friends we met the same year. Thank you Grittys, J's Oyster Bar, Bill's Pizza and Infinity Vodka! With Deidre Nice, Greg Nettles and Mark Cousins.
