It was one year ago that I received the devastating news..... I had breast cancer. The first thing m...y husband and I did was cry. The next thing we did was reach out to a dear Dr friend who put our minds at ease immediately. I soon made an appointment and was in to see Dr. Virgilio Sacchini. I had a lumpectomy on Oct. 27th at the Josie Robertson location. Thankfully, the lymph nodes and margins were clear. I was cancer free! Next up was radiation oncology with Dr. Simon Powell who recommended 10 treatments which were quick and painless. Next was medical oncology with Dr. Neil Iyengar who put me on medication. I can not say enough about Memorial Sloan Kettering and these amazing doctors and their staff. Their efficiency, compassion, and bedside manner helped me through the most difficult time in my life.
