[Meet Our Professors]
Meet (or rather hear?) two of our 2015 SNU ISI faculty members discuss their field of expertise from a Korean perspective!
"Korea and the World" is a podcast blog created by three students at the SNU Graduate School of International Studies and provides podcast interviews with scholars and experts on various topics from a Korean perspective.
...There are fifteen episodes available so far, among which feature two of the 2015 SNU ISI faculty members - Professor Hilary Finchum-Sung who will be teaching "Korean Traditional Music and Culture" and Professor Sem Vermeersch who will be teaching "History of Premodern Korea."

Our student cafeterias offer meals at 1,700-4,000 Korean won (US$2-4), depending on the cafeteria (of which there are oh so many) and the menu (most of which change every meal). This, we think, is already pretty awesome, but we have more great news! Starting from June 1, SNU will be offering breakfast meals to the SNU community at 1,000 Korean won (US$1), at the Student Center (Blg. 63) from 8:00am to 9:00am! AND you can even get refills for rice and side dishes, just like any other meal at SNU student cafeterias, even at this very low price.
Life is pretty good at SNU

With our final application deadline approaching, we've been getting a lot of inquiries on whether it is possible to submit the original hard-copy of the official transcript (by post) and the copy of SNU Health Form after the deadline. YES, IT IS POSSIBLE :)
If you have completed your online application to our guidelines, the original hard-copy of the official transcript can be sent to us by post and the SNU... Health Form via email BY THE END OF MAY.

SNU Outdoor Baseball Batting Net
Koreans are avid fans of baseball. Even though the number of batting cages have declined, you can still see them in high traffic areas such as SNU, Gangnam and Hongdae. The pitching machine shoots 17 balls for only ₩500 whereas prices have risen to ₩1000 in other places. The location is convenient, it's fun to hang out with friends and especially great to place bets on drinks.

[One-Course (No Frills) Registration Option Available]
To answer to many inquiries regarding taking just one course in our program, after much deliberation, we are happy to offer a "One-Course Registration" option for prospective students.
**Application Period for "One-Course Registration" is May 22 to June 5 (No early/late applications accepted, limited course availability)**
...The "One-Course Registration" option is suitable for students who wish to 1) only take one course and 2) who are not interested in any other aspects of our program including staying at our on-campus dormitory, receiving a SNU student ID card, receiving a certificate of completion at the end of the program. The "One-Course Registration" option is simply what the name entails - you will take one course in the SNU ISI program and nothing else. Also, please note that there is limited course availability for this option, as course spots will be opened AFTER all course spots have been claimed by full-program participants.
