I was at the Nightwish show last night. It was my first show at Sokol. I got there a few minutes before the doors opened so I was a long was back in line. Security and ticket people did a fantastic ...job of getting us out of the cold and into the facility with amazing speed. Sound was fantastic and show was fantastic. Also have to say I'm glad i paid a few extra for the upper level so I had a place to sit once in a while, Thanks for hosting such a wonderful show! See More

Air circulation is horrible, no ventilation. Building needs serious updates. Could at least offer free small cups of water like other venues so people aren't getting dehydrated instead of overpriced... little bottles of water. Went to the AJR concert last night and security would not allow us to park in handicap parking for my husband, even though we have a handicap placard. Don't think I will be coming here again any time soon. Used to love this place. See More

We have been to Sokol numerous times to see a wide variety of bands and it's a great venue. It's small enough that you can be close to the band but big enough to get a decent sized crowd and party atm...osphere. Great drink prices and friendly security people. I highly recommend this venue. Went to Stone Sour last night. I love the shows here and always have but security was a joke. We can't take our water outside to smoke yet they did nothing about the people on the balcony who were smo...king cigarettes and flicking them into the croud below. Last show I went to here was about 2 years ago and the security then knew their stuff and kept the crowd under control. There was NO security on the balcony last night, at any point during the 3 and a half hours we were there. See More

Saw Dirty Heads there last night ... small venue but seeing the artists up close is cool! Side area where merch was was helpful. Not enough bathrooms for a sold out show but are there ever?? Parking i...s tough but don’t think that is the fault of the venue. I would return :) See More

No place to park(why have an auditorium if you don’t have any place for the public to park their cars?!) and saw way too many people getting towed which was a bunch of BS. I definitely do not recommen...d this place to anyone whatsoever. See More

Our DJ business (SDM DJ Entertainment) did a Quinceanera gig this past Saturday, 10/14/2017 (Jocelyn) and everyone was great. Big shout out to, Rick and security as well. We had a great time there and... everything went smoothly. It was a pleasure to be able to work at this venue and hope to be back again. We highly recommend this venue and will continue to do so. Thanks again Sokol Staff. hope we can get a like at our page right back from you by searching us as (Sonido Dinastia Martinez). See More

Great venue. Parking was tough but can’t help parking on an old building. Good security. Good drink area. Need more bathrooms but that’s an old building so not much you can do. Dirty heads show was great

Black Label Society put on a great show. Sokol auditorium is ok place, but acoustics not the best. Someone broke a foot or something in mosh pit . Security? City cop spent his time on cell phone not ...really watching crowd. See More

Drove from Lincoln..what a joke
Drove around for an hour trying to find somewhere to park that wasn't a mile away. Fucking waste of my time.

Whatever security company you used for the dirty heads show was WAY to invasive, the dude who searched me (witch was a little over the top) touched my dick a couple times witch is a giant no no and im... sure it happened to many others, it was a concert yet got searched like i was being arrested... then making people throw all the stuff in their pockets onto a table so they can touch it all is bull shit... smashing into the crowd and pushing people around while shining a giant flash light in there face so they cant see shit was not needed... the show was fun besides having to deal with security... wont recommend a show here as long as you use that shit security company and if its your own security well then yall need to rethink that program and fire all the damn meat heads who have a power trip ego going on... Love going to this venue for rock shows. While it has a dated feel to it, it's good great acoustics. I love the historical feel, but would like to see a facelift on the inside. The balcony feels weak ...in places, and while I have confidence I'm not going to fall through, it would be better if the floor didn't sink beneath my 6'3" 219 lb frame. Like everyone else says, with a full crowd, it does tend to get hotter, but that's to be expected. I was told they had chilled the area to 63 degrees, and it felt like it when we first got in. More air circulation would be better, but not a huge deal for younger crowds. We'll definitely be back to see more bands. See More

Devour the Day, TFK, and Skillet. Seriously one of the best concerts I have been too! The concert was amazing but the venue I only give 3 stars. The building was WAY TOO HOT, there was no air circula...tion AT ALL. They either needed to fix the AC, add more fans or something, because the amount of people in that building made it so difficult to breathe my sister and I felt like we were gong to pass out. Also when it is that hot, you should not be selling tiny 16oz bottles of water for $2 a bottle! Get some ice water jugs and set up ice water stations! Other than that the building was cool I liked the historical feel. See More

Finding out that one of your favorite artists is in town that day, when it's too late to get off work, get the money for tickets, and catch the show
... that's depressing. Omaha is not a barren wastel...and lacking music venues, we are a hub, and there are simply too many venues to follow, and far to many artists to follow. Would definitely appreciate more advertising in the future. Really unhappy to be stuck at work while Grace Potter is in town, all because of a lack of advertising..... See More
