Rotary District 6760 added 33 new photos — with Laquita Blount Stribling.

Last week, I was honored to represent Rotary District 6760 at the International Assembly in San Diego, California. It was a great week for learning, sha...ring, fellowship and networking with approximately 600 other Rotarians from all over the world.

President-Elect, Barry Rassin, unveiled his theme for the 2018 - 2019 Rotary year: Be The Inspiration.

He outlined 3 areas of focus to qualify for the Presidential Citation. They are:

*Support and strengthen clubs
Retain current members
Increase club membership
Start new clubs
Increase number of females, Members under 40, and Rotaractors joining Rotary

*Focus and increase humanitarian service
Increase DDF contributions to End Polio Now
Increase grants funded with DDF
Involve and engage Interactors and Rotaractors in service projects
Increase contributions to the Annual Fund; goal of $2.025 billion by 2025.

*Enhance public image and awareness
Publicize Rotary’s role in eradicating Polio
Build awareness of Rotary, and promote the People of Action campaign
Increase awareness of Rotary Club projects by using Rotary Showcase

With the strength of our current and past leadership, our district is positioned well to have many of our clubs receive the Presidential Citation.

I’m excited and looking forward to continue the work and progress our beloved 6760 has enjoyed.

Together in service,

Hello participants - We wanted to send out a quick note about this coming Saturday's race starting at 9:00 AM EST

It is going to be COLD -- ABSOLUTELY DRESS IN LAYERS AND PLENTY OF THEM. Please use your head and don't be the "tough guy" in shorts and a singlet. It will not be cool PUN INTENDED.

We will be running the same course that we always have. The course was inspected today and the trail and road conditions are in great shape. It didn't appear that any snow we saw this morning had accumulated out at the park. We will be providing a fire and 2 or more heaters along with some windbreaks at the start / finish line shelter to provide warmth for everyone.

In an effort to get you back to your car and out of the park as quickly as possible, we will be announcing Gender and Age group First, Second and Third place finishers as quickly as we know so you aren't standing around waiting for the awards ceremony.
