As an artist and a person, I've come to learn that "I didn't mean it that way" doesn't mean that what you say can't be taken "that way." In general, someone's feelings and dignity matter more than your fun. Plus, shitting on people's vulnerabilities is way older of a cultural practice than showing care for them, so it isn't the slightest bit "edgy" or "daring." And if you can't accept that, there's a problem and it isn't that people are too sensitive.
