- Hello Sounddogs, I have had huge success from buying your tracks and... using them for videos. No I face the problem that every time I buy a track use it on my YouTube video CDBABY claims it immediately with content ID. It takes up to a week for them to remove it but I am now sick of this every time I buy a track and use it. The big problem is if that video goes viral in its first few days I get no income while I wait for CDBABY TO release with the music I paid a licence from you to use. This could make you lose quite a bit of business as I will not be the only one using your tracks online. It should be illegal for CDBABY to put songs that you are selling in the content ID system on YouTube. Please help as I am about to give up buying them and CDBABY have deaf ears. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7-1vNgSb9M as you can see it has no ads because it has been claimed so frustrating. If you would like to use me as an example feel free. I got your back. Meer weergeven
- The moment I waited a Lifetime for. Taken a number of years ago now,... at Star Wars Celebration V in Orlando. After nearly 30 years I finally got to meet the one and only Lucasfilm Sound Designer Ben Burtt. That's one of the 1st 50 copies of his book in my hands. Meer weergeven
Rob Nokes just recorded a baby Eurasian Eagle-owl.
This is the largest species of owl in the world where a
female owl can stand 2.5 feet tall with a wingspan of
over 6 feet weighing anywhere from 4-10 pounds.
Thank you to Adam's Falconry Service for your help and support. ...

Thanks very much to Eduard Kruglov, Lyudmila Kruglova, Yana Panova for their help and support during SFX recording for Sounddogs.com. We were recording for 7 da...ys just to get one particular sound: sad tiger scream.
This is low frequency sound. It doesn't seem loud to human ears, but scares the animals 3 km away.
Thanks to Amur Tiger Zhorik for his amazing performance.
And thanks to Rob for this life time recording opportunity.
#CityDumpRecording Each place have each own particular background, in this case there were a lot of carrion birds chirping

When I arrived there was one baby Alpaca. Between the time we wired Mommy for sound and then came back to retrieve the recorder, a second baby Alpaca appeared!!! It was a magical morning at Windswept Ranch in Rosamond California.

This is a Guanaco, a member of the Lama family and a distant relative to the Camel. Charles Darwin wrote about the Guanaco, a native of South America, in his book Voyage of the Beagle. While we did not record this animal today due to high winds we will record it in the future.

Here is a side profile of the Mommy Alpaca with the Zaxcom ZFR-200 taped to her bridle. It's quite light and she minded little about it. Due to high winds we did not get a lot of clean recordings but we do have enough to work with.

Windswept Ranch, Rosamond, California. We've recorded Alpaca's before the difference this time is that this Mommy Alpaca just had a baby and she is constantly singing and cooing to her baby. It's a very unique sound we've added to the library. The microphone is placed on her nose band and covered with some fabric for wind protection. #recording #soundeffects #sounddogs #zaxcom #zfr200 #alpaca #robnokes
Rob Nokes: "Unexpected wonderful recording opportunities sometimes present themselves. While recording nature sounds in the mountains of Ecuador we heard a very low deep fluttering sound, it was a Hummingbird. On the movie Noah, Sound Designer Craig Henighan asked me to record Hummingbirds which I tried valiantly to do by purchasing numerous Humming Bird feeders and recording at sunrise on weekends when the city was at its quietest. The background noise was still too much and... there were few birds.
Back to #Ecuador, I asked our Guide how we can get close to the bird with the deep low fluttering sound and to my astonishment he said there was a Humming Bird paradise with thousands of birds. We hurried over to the location, a rustic but pleasant semi-forested small hotel, and sure enough I placed my microphone under the bird feeders and recorded amazing Hummingbirds' wings. Millimeters from the microphone capsules hundreds of birds darted in and out, there must have been about twenty different species of Hummingbirds and they all made their own distinct sound." #recording #soundeffects #sounddogs #robnokes http://ow.ly/ZUue7
