I was a freshman in high school when Columbine happened. I spent the next three years terrifi...ed that I’d be murdered while trying to learn. If it could happen in their sleepy town, it could happen anywhere. It’s heartbreaking that over the past 19 years these events have become increasingly normalized. I’m so proud of these young Millennials for speaking up. I only wish we elder Millennials would’ve had the courage to do it when we were their age.
