We went here for an early birthday dinner for my wife. We had a 6:30 reservation and arrived early. Things did not start out well as we sat for over 10 minutes at our table without any service at all.... Once we received service, things did get better. Even more impressive, an unknown employee must’ve realized this and let a manager know. We were approached by her during our first course and severely apologized to. We were comped our first round of drinks as well as dessert. We were very pleased with this type of customer service and we enjoyed our meals very much as well. We are more than willing to return to Spice again. See More

Spice catered my daughter's wedding this past weekend and our experience was exceptional. First, the food was amazing and delicious. Everyone raved about the meal from cocktail reception though salad ...and main course. Typical wedding food is "hotel" quality; yet Spice managed to serve restaurant quality food to our guest. Their presentation of food is bar none the best. Quality food that looks good and taste great!! The servers and staff was the best. Courteous and kind to our guests. I would highly recommend Spice for your event. Part of the wedding experience is the food, and our wedding was more memorable because of Spice, their food and staff. Bravo!!! See More

Just beautiful and delicious food. All of it. (Especially the salmon tartare and the walnut ravioli!) Great service too and an amazing outdoor back patio as well. As someone who's lived and dined at g...reat spots in NYC, Boston, DC and now Chicago, I have to admit that Spice Kitchen ranks up there as one of the best and one of my most favorite restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised with the beautiful patio. We were seated right away by a friendly Hostess. Inside decor was beautiful with lots of gold. We will be back to check out the long bar. Tony wa...s our server who turned out to be the bartender too. We got there in time for Happy Hour so had planned on just getting an appetizer and a drink. The pork won tons served with pea tendrils were sooooo good! So was the pilsner called Bavnik. So we stayed sharing a "Snack"of beer battered soft shell crab and Ricotta stuffed zucchini. Both were outstanding. The crab was so good we ordered another one! Delightful experience of a farm to table restaurant! See More

My wife and I had a great dinner. Our server, Shannon, was wonderful, and helped us navigate the menu. The food was delicious. We loved the décor and we were able to sit by a window. A fun evening out.

I gave this a 3 because while the food was overall great the service that started strong ended very poorly.
We started w/ a slight misunderstanding on the drinks which was quickly corrected. We order...ed 3 small plates which were all great and a second round of drinks.
The fish and mushroom grits were both great, the hanger steak however had so much gristle it couldn't be cut/chewed. When asked how it was we didn't have time to respond before she moved away. No one returned until the other meals were finished and the plate was cleared w/o question when it was apparant it had not been touched.
We had to stop several people to inquire about our drinks and a desert menu and finally told them to cancel our drinks that never came. We were offered dessert as an apology which was again delicious. See More

What sold us on Spice of Life for our wedding was their local, sustainable focus and presentation. They were great to work with throughout our planning process, the food was fantastic, and presentatio...n was like nothing you’ve ever seen before (they give new meaning to “buffet”). We also appreciated how with the couple of snafus we encountered Jess and Ben jumped to take care of us completely.
