A way to unplug from civilization that is as overconnected as it is disconnected. In these rooms I found catharsis, still waters and a voice to finally articulate the huge range of feelings left from losing a beloved friend to suicide.

Disruptions in my own life, compounded with living on a planet that seems hellbent on destroying itself brought on disquieting feelings of hopelessness, anger and sadness that seemed insurmountable. Navigating any type of in-person or online interaction felt equally pointless as discourse feels to have eroded into childish shouting matches of ever-escalating volumes.
