Some pictures of my MacBook Pro, a 13 inch Late 2013. This is my third screen sofar.

First picture is from 25 July 2016, second from today. You can see the spre...ading of the issue. I have increased the exposure of the pictures to give you a better view. You can see the coating letting go on the edges (where it started) and also the center. In the second photo you can see a more smudgy/streaky area in the center where I attempted to clean the screen with a microcloth as it was damaged anyways (nothing to loose). I’m will not deny that this was caused by me, but only after the coating already let go.
Knowing the vulnerability of the coating I normally do not touch the screen with anything. As you can see the problem still appeared in the first picture where it is untouched and the second picture in the untouched areas.

I'm addressing the issue with Apple Support but have not found a satisfactory solution yet.

Since ever I bought my Macbook retina screen 13"; and after I saw shocking images on staingate.org website, at first I didn't give it importance but after I saw... today that my stain on the display is not being removed, I started counting the minutes until total death of it. I just need to know is there anything supportive for that ? And note that I am an apple fan

I bought my macbook pro retina 15" early 2013 in Australia. Now I live in colombia. My mac got stain gate. I took it to compudemano (apple resseller). They book...ed it in for inspection. They replace the screen for free in two weeks time. I am glad with the new screen. I hope it won't happen again.

Hi, I'm from the Philippines. I have the same issue with you guys. I own a MBP 13-inch Retina Mid 2014. This stain started 5 months after purchase and eventuall...y scattered all over the screen. Now, my laptop is 11 months, I tried going to two different local service centers hoping for a replacement because it's still under warranty. Unfortunately, they all refused. After seeing posts in this group, I tried emailing Tim Cook three days ago. I gave my contact details and photos of my laptop. And luckily, an Apple representative called me this morning and asked me for further details on my issue. She said that my screen will be replaced for free. She gave me options as to where I can bring my laptop for servicing here in my city. She's still making arrangements with the local service center as of now. I will update you guys after. Have a nice day. :)
