- AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL AMERICANS We Canadians stand ‘shoulder to shou...lder with you in solidarity’ at this most difficult time. ‘Our hearts feel for you’ and ‘all that you are experiencing’. We can never truly know the ‘extent or enormity’ of your pain and suffering. But we too have ‘heavy hearts & tears in our eyes’. We pray that God will be with ‘all of you at this tremendously stressful and painful time’. Canada will help you ‘in any way’ we possibly can do. Please do not let hate be the ‘final outcome’ of this tragedy. The world cannot permit hate to conquer LOVE. ‘Love, Strength, Resilience & Hope’ have always been the Cornerstone & Key Ingredients’ in the GREATNESS of the United States Of America. These qualities of character have ‘stood the test of time’ since the inception of your ‘Strong & Glorious’ country. You must mobilize ‘the Beautiful Heart, Mind & Soul of the USA’ in order to defeat the hate that would tear you down. You should bear in mind the ‘History & Greatness’ of your precious country as you utilize ‘ingenuity, determination and resourcefulness’ to keep ‘Love, Kindness & Hope’ at the forefront of America. God Bless America Brian D. Bailey A PRAYER FOR ORLANDO Please God comfort the Victims’ Families and the Wounded with Your Beauty, Sensitivity and Compassion. 5starWhat a breath of fresh air. We have spent much of my daughter'slife being treated at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, a...nd I thought the way treat us was just standard: rude, dismissive , apathetic staff, and arrogant doctors. But we've been in contact with several doctors, nurses and schedulers now at Lucile Packard and I am just amazed by the kindness and intelligen ce and humanity we have been shown so far. It's truly remarkable to be treated like a human being who matters. I get the feeling from everyone I've spoken with that they want to be there and they enjoy helping people. I wish we lived closer so this could be our main hospital. Thank you to the staff for showing such compassion and helpfulnes s. I genuinely look forward to our visit there. See More

THANK YOU to the Seaside Police Department! After volunteering at Summer Scamper they stopped by our hospital to deliver a truck full of toys and a check for $25,000 from their BBQ fundraiser! “Public safety organizations need to show we do far more than just respond to calls and protect the public," says Nick Borges (right), Acting Patrol Commander. "We can collaborate with our community and maximize our efforts to help in a much more powerful way. If a person becomes ill in our community, we can now activate our Heroes 4 Kids team and lead the way in a community-oriented support effort!"

celebrating Our 25th anniversary at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford.
It's our 25th Anniversary today! On June 10, 1991, we opened the doors to our hospital, fulfilling the vision of our generous founder, Lucile Salter Packard. 25 years later we are proud to be one of the top hospitals in the nation, dedicated to pediatric and obstetric care.
“When the doors are finally open, I will feel enormous gratitude to all the people and all the work that has been put into it… most of all, I feel excitement about the future. After all, all that we’ve don...e is built a beautiful building within which to produce something wonderful.” -- Lucile Salter Packard, 1987
And now we look ahead to the anticipated 2017 opening of America’s most technologically advanced, family-friendly, and environmentally sustainable children’s hospital.
Here’s to next 25 Years of healing and hope at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford!

Brady, a 2011 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, is currently in active duty with the USN Submarine Service.

How do you bring a little bit of normalcy into the lives of sick children? Give them a prom! Big thanks to the teachers at the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital School on the Stanford campus, who held their own version of the big party yesterday themed, “Expedition: Prom - Into the Jungle!"
The patients and their family and friends were able to dance the night away with a live DJ, games, food, crafts and a tribe of grass-skirt wearing Stanford athletes! So much fun, thanks to our volunteers from PWC, Apple, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and many others who helped make the evening possible.
