On the road again! 🛣

Last summer, Max King grabbed his running-pack and set off to explore one of the most iconic roads in the world – Route 66. This historic 2...,448 mile long road encouraged travellers to take their time and soak in the landscape, as it bends and curves around the topography of the American West.

This Marshfield XC runner wore his Steens bracelet for the 5K Prefontaine run. He took 1:20 off his time from last year and it's a season PR of 18:11! #steensmountainrunningcamp #marshfieldcrosscountry #PreLives

Didn't write this story about my good friends, Kyle Thompson, Daniel Thompson and Sam Truax, but I don't think I could have done much better of a job the unique bond these three share. Special thanks to my dad (David Frank), Colleen McCambridge Thompson and John Truax for providing great content as well. The Gonzaga Bulletin is doing big things this year! Read our other pieces too, please. Proud to be part of a publication producing great articles like this.

Kyle Thompson, Daniel Thompson and Sam Truax have been running together since elementary school, but there has never been a time where all three have been on the same team. That is changing now, with all three runners joining together on the Gonzaga cross country team.

"Emma Coburn is just the third female American distance runner ever to win World Championship gold, joining Mary Decker (1500/3000 in 1983) and Jenny Barringer Simpson (1500 in 2011). Amazingly, all three women attended the University of Colorado."

In a shocking upset on a scale not seen in American distance circles since perhaps when Billy Mills won Olympic gold in the 10,000 in 1964, Americans Emma Coburn and Courtney Frerichs won gold and silver in the women’s steeplechase tonight at the 2017 IAAF World Championships.
Mmm, protein.

Cross Canyon was insane as usual! Over emphasize to trivialize.

The weather has been bipolar the last two days but in typical steens fashion, we are adapting and making the best of it. Cross Canyon race tomorrow!

Acclimation day went mostly as planned. Today we begin an alternative Big Day due to the weather report.

My computer could barely handle the 4K footage, but here it is.

"Coffee Cake 5K" - coffee and cake at mile 1, 2, and 3. Max King is champion over Julian, Gabe, and David 😆
