With the new expansion of the store it makes it such a pleasure to browse or sit and work on your needlework project. Staff are excellent at helping with any type of needlework project but specialize... in counted cross stitch & embroidery. Love spending time there and I never leave empty handed. !00's of patterns and great fabric & bead choices. See More

Best stitch store.

Guys, I just saw this in my Facebook feed and I wanted to share it with you. These are two new designs by The Scarlet House which are being released at the Nashville Market. First is the Patriotic Shaker Box - perfect for all you patriotic stitchers out there! Next is a wonderful sampler, Sarah Hopwood. Take a look at these and comment below if you'd like to preorder them. It really helps us to know how many to purchase. Keep your eyes peeled for more new releases from your favorite designers. Wherever you see them, let us know what you want and we'll do our best to get them for you.

Stitching Friends, we are getting down to the wire! The Nashville Needlework Market is less than two weeks away and Debbie and I are SO excited to be able to attend and shop for lots of new goodies for you. Many of your favorite designers have been posting Market previews of their new designs for us all to drool over. Check out their blogs and/or web sites and send us your list of what you'd like us to bring back. Some of the designers that have recently posted their new patterns are La-D-Da, Heartstring Samplery, Kathy Barrick, Hands On Designs, Heart in Hand Needleart - just to name a very few. Please help us by letting us know what you want, either in the comments below or you can email us at The clock is ticking!

Exciting news for all Plum Street Samplers fans (and isn't that everyone?)! Paulette Stewart has released TWO new patterns - she's not even waiting for the Needlework Market . . . these ship to shops on Monday! The first is a sweet sampler "A Hundred Ways". The verse is taken from one of my all-time favorite books, "Emma" by Jane Austen (if you haven't read it, you really should). It's stitched on 32 count "In the Pink" fabric by R&R and uses DMC, Weeks, and Classic threads with a conversion to DMC. The price is $14.00.

Next is the first in a wonderful new year-long series called "Noah's Christmas Ark". The series will consist of twelve patterns, each with two ornaments. The first is "Crocodile and Giraffe" and we can't wait to see the rest! They can be stitched individually or on one large piece of fabric. Paulette used 36 count Patriot's Brew by R&R with DMC, Weeks, and Classic Colorworks threads, and a DMC conversion. A free companion design, "Noah's Welcome Mat" is offered; to download it, just go to the Plum Street Samplers blog at and click on "Freebies".

Please let us know in the comments below if you'd like to be put on the list to get the "Noah's Christmas Ark" patterns as they are released throughout the year. This is going to be really popular, and we need to know how many to order. We don't want to disappoint anyone!

Hey there, stitching friends. Meet Tank.

Tank is Debbie's and Steve's beloved moose-sized dog. He's recently welcomed a girlfriend, Daisy, to the family. You'll meet Daisy another time. The thing is, it's Tank's birthday, and he feels like we aren't celebrating properly. So, in honor of Tank's birthday, starting tomorrow, Tuesday, February 6th through Wednesday, February 28th, ALL PATTERNS AND KITS ARE 20% OFF! The only exception is if we special order a pattern for you. So come in and splurge on those patterns you've been wanting to add to your stash, and help Tank celebrate his birthday. See you soon!

For all of you who have been wanting to take our Beginning Punchneedle Class, we have scheduled not one, but two! We're giving you your choice of dates - Thursday, March 15th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. or Saturday, March 17th from noon until 3:00 p.m. The class fee is $60.00 and includes everything you'll need; just bring a pair of small curved tip scissors and a needleminder or magnet. Half the class cost is due when you sign up with the balance due on the day of the class. Space is limited so call us at 817-277-4281 ASAP to reserve your spot!

We're excited to announce our new class - Next Steps in Punchneedle! This is aimed toward folks that have learned the basics and want to gain more skills and confidence to take on more detailed patterns. If you took our Beginning Punchneedle class, you are ready for this one. Belinda Boshell will teach you dimensional punching, transitioning, how to trace a pattern onto weaver's cloth, tips for outlining, and how to punch vines, stems, letters, and numbers. The class kit... includes the pattern (shown in the photos), all the threads (Valdani and Gentle Art), and the weaver's cloth, as well as Belinda's expert instruction. You'll need to bring a three-strand punchneedle, a 10 inch locking hoop, and small curved-blade scissors. If you took Beginning Punchneedle, you'll have everything you need except the 10" hoop, which we'll have available for purchase, along with the other supplies needed. The Next Steps in Punchneedle class will be held on Saturday, February 17th from noon to 3:00 p.m. Cost is $95.00; half of which will hold your place in the class with the balance due on the day. Hey everyone! It's that time of year again; the time when our favorite designers begin posting on Facebook and their blogs "sneak peeks" of their patterns/kits to be released at the upcoming Needlework Market in Nashville (March 2 - 4). Debbie and I are really excited to be going and we're planning on coming home with LOTS of new goodies. So, when you see something online that you want, let us know! Email us, call us, come by and see us. That way, we'll be sure to come back with enough for everyone. And, by the way, we're planning on having a special Market Night, so there's that to look forward to. Details will be posted later. Start making your "wish lists"!

Hi Friends! Here's a fun question for you to contemplate while you're trying not to freeze. If you could only stitch one designer's patterns for the rest of your stitching life, which designer would it be? Hmmmmm? And why? Just curious!

The 2017 Stitch Niche Christmas Ornament is here! Last year, we began what we hope will be an annual "thing"; we're offering an exclusive ornament design, kitted up and ready for you to start stitching. It's available ONLY from us, and ONLY until we run out. It won't be available again. Last year's ornament sold out pretty quickly, and we think this year's will be just as popular. Feast your eyes on this beautiful drum! It was designed by Debbie Holcomb and the kit has everything you'll need to make it except the stuffing. There's also a charted alphabet in case you would rather yours say "Noel" or "Ho Ho Ho" or "Bah Humbug" or whatever, instead of "Stitch Niche". Kit cost is only $15.00. Come and get 'em while we've got 'em!

Season's Greetings fellow Stitchers! Have you decked your halls? Jingled your bells? Dreamed of a white Christmas? Well, take just a minute from your Holiday festivities and look at this. We've got the 35 NEW colors from DMC! Some really pretty shades here, as you can see in the photo. Come by and pick them up to add to your floss collection. Even better, how about gifting a fellow stitcher with these new beauties? DMC also came out with the new colors in a tin but, ...unfortunately, those are on back order until the end of January. So, we decided to do the thing ourselves! We've taken a cheery Christmasy-red gift box, lined it with Holiday tissue, and packed it with one each of all 35 new colors. Then, we tied a suitably festive ribbon around it, and voila! a lovely gift for that special stitching friend! We've even given it a special price of $26.40 per box, which means when you purchase the gift box set, you get two skeins free! Only a limited number of the gift sets is available, so don't hesitate. Of course, we also have plenty of the single skeins on hand as well. See you soon!
