Join us at the Frankfort Community Expo Saturday (March 17) from 10AM to 2PM at Lincoln-Way East High School on LaGrange Rd. "The Man In Green" (picture simulated/your mileage may vary) will be at our table handing out green sunglasses while they last.
Oh, and feel free to join us Sunday morning at 10 for Divine Liturgy. No need to wear green. However you must wear clothing.
Make plans now to join us for the Canon of Forgiveness, followed by the next chapter in our video series, "Journey To Fullness" with Father Barnabas Powell. It all starts Wednesday at 7PM at the Chapel.
And visit if you can Saturday from 10AM to 2PM at the Frankfort Community Expo at Lincoln-Way East High School. Rumor has it "The Man in Green" will be there giving away green sunglasses for St. Patrick Day (he's one of ours too, you know).
It's much easier for you. Just set your clocks ahead one hour Saturday night and be on time for church Sunday morning.
Yes, you "give up" an hour-- but the Lord loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7).
Don't forget our weekly Wednesday night Complines tonight at 7PM, followed by another in our video series, "Journey To Fullness". This week, Father Barnabas continues with "When We Say God".
And don't miss us Saturday, March 10, at the New Lenox Community Expo in Lincoln-Way Central High School. Say hi and receive a cool pair of sunglasses!
"It's a miracle."
We don't just think it. We know it.
The chapel is in the news! Learn about the plans the New Lenox Historical Society has for our treasured building.
Thank you to the OCA Web site for including us in their gallery of pictures from Orthodoxy Sunday.
Thank you to all who visited the Chapel on Triumph of Orthodoxy Sunday. Here the celebrants read the proclamation of the Ecumenical Council that restored icons in the church, after processing with theirs.
Don't forget, the Chapel will hold a brief Complines service on Wednesdays at 7PM during Lent, followed by our Orthodox education video, "Journey to Fullness". Let's all make the effort to attend services more fully on our journey to Pascha.
Don't forget: Vespers, followed by communal confession in preparation for Great Lent are tonight (Saturday 2/17) at 6PM. Of course, Divine Liturgy is tomorrow at 10AM. This Wednesday we will join for the Canon of St. Andrew at 7PM. Each Wednesday during Lent at 7 PM we will have the Akathist of Repentance followed by our video class on the Holy Orthodox Faith by Fr. Barnabas with an open discussion afterwards. All are welcome, especially those inquiring or curious about Orthodoxy. Please join us if you can.
