EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH – JULY 2016

The Technical Services Division has selected Telecommunicator II Rachelle Evans as Employee of the Month for July 2016. Rachelle has 24 years of dedicated service with the Police Department.

As a Telecommunicator II, Rachelle is constantly excelling in productivity and customer service. Rachelle is currently one of our key trainers. She has trained numerous new hires and does so with a caring and understanding attitude while instilling, in... the new hire, the importance of their new career.

In May of 1990, Rachelle began her career as a Telecommunicator I with Stockton PD. In January of 1993, she left the Stockton Police Department to pursue a different career, and after two years, returned part time, focusing her duties as a Complaint Receipt Operator. In June of 1996, she was hired full time as a Telecommunicator I. After three years, she quickly elevated to a Telecommunicator II. In 2013, she received a letter of commendation for her role in handling a call regarding a bank employee believed to be an at-risk missing person. She handled the call with finesse, efficiency, and calmness that carried over to the family and bank employees involved.

Rachelle has a strong work ethic that is displayed in her day-to-day performance and is a great example of hard work to her colleagues. She has a willingness to help others when dispatch traffic is heavy. She truly is an asset to the Department.

Congratulations, Rachelle!

Not a smart idea. A man and woman walked up to the Stockton Police Chaplains and Stockton Police Youth Activities fireworks booth holding a box of illegal fireworks and asked two police officers who were volunteering at the booth if they sold these. The officers said "we don't sell those but we confiscate them." Let's just say the man and woman weren't happy. ‪#‎KeepingStocktonSafe‬
